I'm wondering why you're all so violenly opposed to the concept of a trial.

Because it's not a good idea. You're entitled to your opinion and imagination. But being an open forum, we are also entitiled to our opinions about your idea. We are opposed to it because none of us (speaking for those who have posted saying so) like it. It just doesn't fit into the Angel world. It would be too far out of place.

I'm thinking it's because you're all locked into the idea of a magnificent battle with Buffy swinging in from the rooftops, and the electric-girl walking in from around the corner, or whatever.

You should think about who you're addressing. I, myself, am so anti-Buffy (in the Angel world) it's ridiculous. Buffy and co coming in to save the day would ruin everything.

Remember...the one constant about Joss, is he does the unexpected. Whatever you're expecting, that's what's not going to happen.

But he also does know how to not screw up his series.

Nah, not to worry l'il buddy. I'm pretty sure I wasn't talking about you. To be honest, I kind of forgot about you.

Nothing personal, it's just that the others were making such interesting, pointed, and well-supported arguements I had to give them my full attention.

They forced me to aknowledge the possiblity of an Angelverse under the total control of the Senior Partners.

Nevertheless whether that is the case, or something larger exists, my basic premise remains unshakeable. If a law exists to which the Senior Partners must comply for whatever reasons, then the possibility of a trial is supportable by the rules of the verse.
