Hi everyone. I'm Michelle and very, very fresh off watching the BtVS series for the first time. I went from enjoying it to absolutely loving it.

I've made a few posts already so I think introducing myself would be in order.
Some facts and some opinions:

I was 35 when my Buffy adventure started - hallelujah for Netflix, the adventure might not have been completed w/out them.
I'm pretty mellow and laugh very easily.
I like an out of the way quiet life, mostly. I'd rather drive to the action than have to drive out of it.
I love in-depth discussions about stuff I love, which is what had me finding you guys. I'm not sure I'll ever be on par with the deeper dissections of the show, but hot diggity if I don't love reading those posts.
I was nervous at the end of S:3 with Angel leaving - lost my nerves quickly in S:4 - which wasn't one of my favorite seasons as far as main intertwining plot/villian goes but it does have some of my favorite episodes of Buffy.
I'm on the fan side of S:6 & 7. I LOVED the darker directions it took and am so glad it didn't end w/ S:5.
In my Buffy dreams, Spike is my boyfriend and Cordelia is my girlfriend - so what if I'm straight, it's my dream and Charisma Carpenter, aside from being outstandingly easy on the eyes, has an A-mazing body. Capital W-O-M-A-N all the way. Work it, girl.
Dawn annoys me, but only in her tantrum throwing scenes. I think it's what she does with her voice. It's just... "gah!!"
I also like Angel the show. I love the characters as much as the Buffy crew, but I love Buffy the show more than Angel the show. Make sense?
On careful advice by friends I started Angel when I started Buffy S:4 which means I've only just started Angel S:5 - and going by disc 1 alone, 5 could end up being my fav.
I do not miss the human brood that was Connor.
Not even a pinch.
I know he comes back for a couple eps in S:5, I've come to terms with that already.

I think the bar for television was set ridiculously high (good kind ridiculous) by Buffy with it's theme's and writing. It easily sits up top with some of my favorite shows like Six Feet Under and Sex and the City - now, now... before your jaw drops, like the show or not, the wit and writing of SatC was fantastic. Not to mention the humor. Oh.. the humor.
Also, SatC is the only tv show I've ever bought the DVDs of. There hasn't been another show I could see myself watching over again to spend the $$ and have take-up space.
Until now.
Since finishing BtVS, S:1, 2 & 3 (used) are on order and in transit as I type. I'm excited to take the ride again knowing how it all ends up. I'll get them all eventually, but, you know, $$ 'n stuff.

So, that's my morning coffee introduction ramble. So, hello to all and I appreciate you guys letting me be here.

Hi Michelle, I'm Jess.

It's always good to have a new face especially one who is also new to the Buffyverse! For me that seems a strange concept though cause I've been watching the show since I was 6! Anyway I hpoe you enjoy it here and look forward to seeing you around.

LMAO at the Spike being your boyfriend and Cordelia being your girlfriend. Those are my two favorite characters. Welcome to Buffy Boards. I hope you like it here.
