I re-watched the Gift, again!
And I was thinking about where Buffy said she'd kill anyone who goes near Dawn, and I was thinking, say if someone had went to hurt Dawn, would she have killed them?
 
Doc went near Dawn, and she killed him so there you go she would!!!
 
No! Sorry. I meant like one of the main characters, like Willow, or Xander...etc!
 
Yes, I think she would have, but only Giles would've been capable of killing Dawn. And Willow perhaps after season 6.
 
I don't think it would have been an issue with Willow and Xander, I think the only person she would have to worry about was Giles. I think she would have killed him. She's shown in the past that she's willing to sacrifice the people she loves...she killed Angel at the end of Season 2. She may not have wanted to kill Giles but I think she would have to protect Dawn.
 
I think her remark was mostly said to Giles as I can't picture Xander or Willow killing Dawn...
 
What if this had happened in season 7, do you agree she would have had to worry about Willow aswell? And perhaps Angel or Faith?
 
She probably wouldn't have had the same reaction. In the episode Lies My Parents Told Me, she admitted if faced with the decision again she would sacrifice Dawn. But as for Allycat's question, i think she would have to worry about Willow and definitly Faith. I dont think she would have to worry about Angel though, i don't think he would or even could bring himself to hurt Dawn, even if only because he loves Buffy.
 
I don't know, before Angel chose doing the right thing, saving Faith, over doing what Buffy wanted.
 
I think she might have had problems with Willow and Faith,but Angel wouldn't be able to hurt her...
 
Say he did kill Dawn to save the world, could Buffy then kill him?
 
She still wouldn't find the strengh in her..She'd have known it was right thing to kill Dawn...
 
I don't think she would have killed Angel if he had killed Dawn. I just think that she would never have been able to forgive him for doing it. That's why I can't see Angel being the one to kill Dawn.

I don't think Faith would either. She's a good slayer, but I don't think she would have been able to sacrifice Dawn. For one she has issues killing humans, and all though Dawn is the key she is still seen as human. Also, this is the only real family she has know, except for the Mayor, and I think she'd fight to keep onto that.
 
Would Spike have been able to kill Dawn, and how about Riley and Wesley?
 
Spike....definately not. He'd promised Buffy that he would protect Dawn...and we saw in previous episodes that he was willing to sacrifice himself so that Glory wouldn't get to Dawn.

I don't think Riley has it in him to kill a human being, so I don't think he would have killed Dawn.

The old Wesley...probably not...but the new Wesley..I think he would.
 
Considering how he took Connor, I bet he would have. I also see Riley doing it though!
 
You know, as strange as it is, I couldnt see Faith trying to kill Dawn. Not because they have a bond, because they seriously dont, but I dont think Faith would have the right mind to kill Dawn.
I know, she's killed people before, and Im not saying she wouldnt have killed Dawn because shes like reformed, I just think, when it comes to saving the world, Faith would rather fight. Buffy is the Slayer that worries about the technical stuff...
