I'm sure this topic has been done to death, but I can't remember seeing one already, and I'm interested to know what you guys think!

When you first saw 'Hush', did you instantly see the potential for a relationship/chemistry between Tara and Willow?

Or did it take you a while to accept them as a couple?

I know they weren't planned to be in a relationship until Joss saw the chemistry between them, so did you see that same chemistry?
 
I think Joss did know. I remember reading about the casting of Tara, that they were looking for a wallflower and petite girl for the part, because Joss wanted Willow's new girlfriend to be like the old Willow. They weren't even gonna cast Amber in the beginining, because she's not really as petite as they wanted. But I think they liked Amber and decided to cast her. I might be wrong, but it's one of the stories that got stuck in my head till today.

As for the question, I don't know if you meant if I actually knew about the relationship when I saw the potential and could tell they're were gonna be a couple, but since I've always been a spoiler slut, I guess I did know that Wilow is gonna have a girlfriend, and I think I even knew her name. So I guess knowing that, didn't really make me think if they had potential or not.
 
I saw their chemistry immediately, but I thought Joss was going to go down the "magic friends" route with it. I was pretty shocked when it started going towards a relationship, though I can see how it got there. I feel like the actors interacted well together, and the characters were also written so well that you could tell there was "something" there.
 
I saw the chemistry between them and was very disappointed at first. I always thought Willow would get back with Oz. When I realized Tara was going to be Willow's new interest I was mostly bummed...until I saw how beautiful their love was. Now I only ship Tillow.
 
I was surprised that Willow would turn lesbian but they did seem to click straight away. I think it was a little disappointing though, they could have done more to make Tara more developed after Hush as it started off quite strong.

I didn't think they were going to get together at the time as I was too young to really understand relationships and didn't really know about homosexuality. I thought it was just going to be a magic friend who was part of the group.
 
The minute their eyes met in the Wicca group, you could just tell they had a connection, right off the bat. Even though I started watching in season 6, it's so clear in "Hush" that these two had immense chemistry, and there was a bond almost instantly. Since I started in season 6, I had assumed Willow was a lesbian the entire time. Imagine my surprise when I started watching the show from the beginning: "Wait, why is Willow making googly eyes at Xander? But....he doesn't...have boobies..." 😛

Willow and Tara had a beautiful love. That is all. 🙂

In the beginning, it was a little awkward watching Willow suddenly change her sexual preference. But I think it was done well anyways. Much better than say, a show like...Degrassi :apprentice: where it's written so ridiculously.

I didn't like them at first, but after OMWF I really liked them. Also, after I saw Family, I didn't violently dislike it anymore 😛
 
The chemistry between the two was just so..so..astonishing, so amazing, so perplexing. Whoever didn't think they had chemistry, were obviously blind and deaf.

As for Joss, well at the time, I just thought he was just a pervy old bastard, and I just figured he intended for them to be together lol. But after I knew he didn't originally plan to go that route, it just makes it all that much more special. To see them get on so well, it's just...oh my OTP is so beautiful it hurts 😛
