I loved this episode, I think it's the one I've watched most since getting into Buffy.

I love the idea that people don't start communicating until they stop talking, though how true this is in real life I don't know - I don't think it's too likely that anywhere will experience the same sort of thing!

I think that the Gentlemen are the creepiest villains to appear on Buffy; something about the way they move and their smiles... *shudder*

Overall a very good episode.

The most cringey bit about the whole episode was where the student was being held down and having his heart cut out and he couldn't cry out or anything. It really plays on the fear of being trapped

Hush is amazing in every way possible. People don't know how much we use our words to communicate... except if you're Oz. This episode is great.

The explanation scene might be the best ever in Buffy.
Giles bloody pictures.
Buffy getting upset over the picture of her.
Everyone looking at Buffy when she trying to say that she will slay them.
Willow doing the death act.
And of course Xander missunderstanding of the heart thing.

It is beyond funny, I absolutely love that whole scene!

and dont forget Anya justg sitting there, eating something, uninterested...that was also hilarious
I havent seen this episode yet but I hopefully am. But I saw a clip and it was pretty funny when xander asks how to kill them and Buffy is doing the hand motion of her killing it with a stake and they all look at her like shes doing something dirty or just crazy so she picks up a stake and does it.

picks up a stake and does something dirty or crazy? ;)
This episode is one of the classics. It will forever be remembered by fans alike as ground breaking television. If only it was honored as it should have been!

All good, how do you do that, the comment on someones post?

hehe, certainly giving you lots of rep. :P anyway, its the scales in the top right corner of a post. approve gives positive rep, and disapprove gives negative. but we try not to use negative unless, its, like, BAN-WORTHY BAD. its just not nice :).
I really liked Hush. Maybe it's just me [probably is] but I didn't actually find it all that scary. I was a bit freaked when the Gentlemen and the Henchmen were chasing after Tara, but that's basically it. I mostly found it funny and sweet.

I thought the Gentlemen were some of the coolest villains ever shown ANYWHERE. It was great how they were excessively polite and modest, silent, and gleefully evil. They could smile while cutting out someone's heart, which I think is something unique. It was one of the most beautifully and purely shown creation of evil. Most evil comes from losing of the soul or lunacy, but here is a more evil evil. A perfect name for it would be perfect evil.

I loved the scene where Xander thought that Spike killed Anya; The Xanya in this episode was pretty cute in my opinion.

What I also especially loved about this episode was the Tillow. It was really beautiful how, alone, Willow couldn't quite get her magic to work, but combining her own power with Tara's, they had enough strength to protect themselves. Lastly, I thought that the scene between them after they got their voices back and Willow said that she definitely wasn't anything special, and Tara said that she was, was the sweetest and most romantic thing possibly ever shown on television.

Overall, Hush was a great epi.: popcorn:

I loved it! I have to be honest: I thought it was a little bit scary too. But I did loved it 🙂

EDIT:
I LOVE this ep. The part in the classroom with the diashow always makes me laugh. And Spike and Xander ofcourse. I think this is one of the scariest Buffy eps ever

They didnt mime in this episode... They acted normal and did all the diolouge (cant spell) then when it was edited they took the diolouge off

Plus they was going to do 'once more with feeling' in this slot but Joss didnt want to cause Xena Warrior Princess just did a musical so they did Hush 🙂

Just two little facts about one of the best episodes off buffy... Shame its on one of the worst seasons x

Neat facts!
We recently watched it during a powerfailure. That was amazing fun. The episode is definitely one of my favourites. I love the Gentlemen, but their minions are creepy, you know the ones in the straitjackets.

Wasn't as scary as Gnarl IMO.

Although the scene where Olivia was in the kitchen and one of the Gentleman walked past the window made me scream. I just found Gnarl more...Eccentric?
