Hypothetical question: Replacement Santa

Since it's the season...

Let's say for whatever reason Santa can't do this little thing on Christmas Eve. If a character from the Whedonverse (excluding 'his' Marvel connections) had to take Santa's place on his nightly journey, who would you pick and why? (Saying Mal because of the Serenity is cheating also, has to be in Santa's sled so...)

It seems like an odd pick but I would go with Anya. I think she would bring unbridled joy and enthusiasm to it but the only part that I question is would she attempt to actually charge all the kids for the presents. That might be a drawback. But I could totally see her really get into wearing the costume and all.

I can see Lorne dressed as Santa and singing carols as he goes. It would have to be a red and white suit version of the Santa attire though. I want this Santa to be real. 🙁

I'd like to see Angel as Santa. His perpetual bright sunshine-y persona helps, as well as his cooing, gushing, nurturing personality traits (I'd love to see how he deals with little kids.)

Can it only be one? I feel like Fred and Dawn would make a great Santa Claus duo otherwise, the high risk level of excessive giggles necessitates that there's two of them, so they can try to keep each other in check and on task, while still having a jolly time!

Cordelia would be one sexy Santa! And Buffy as well - both of them competing for best Santa.
But, like @GwenRaiden said, Lorne would be pretty memorable.

I'd go for early Buffy ( season 1-2 ) Giles solely because he was kind of up tight - in a stiff upper lip stereotypical British tweedy way and I would love to see that kind of Santa - all proper and stiff - I think it would be hilarious - He'd have to take his glasses off and wipe them every second or so lol

Clem has the right attitude for Santa - humble and self-effacing but effective in his own way, so that would be my nominee.

Neither Spike or Angel can be Santa. They're vampires so would need inviting into all the houses unless they just decide to throw the presents down the chimney and be done with it.
