And I'm gonna send you back in time! Now, the dials are set, the planets are aligned, the engines are a go and blah, blah,blah...but I need your destination...so how bout it, what event in history would you like to personally go back and witness? Any one thing...

Better tell me now before I send you back to Peewee Hermans night of show and tell...
 
I seem to be doing a lot of traveling tonight...*grins* Take me back to the late 70's, straight to the underground punk scene. Or to the hey-dey of the Wild West. Or the whole Grunge scene of the early 90's. This is just too damn hard...
 
well an event to witness would be when the statue of liberty was being built cause thats cool and id go back to the 80s cause i love the style
 
Hmmm. lot's that would be quite amazing to see...lately I've been preoccupied with thoughts of the Salem Witch trials...but this is my thread and even I need more time to ponder...one event...hmmm...this is kinda hard...

Beautiful! But for what? Remember guys, this isn't time periods so much as particular historical events that you're witnessing. 😉
 
The roaring 20's (or 30's of last century), that whole Jazz scene. Maybe Paris, maybe Berlin. That I'd love.
 
I'd go back to Elizabeth II's Silver Jubilee year of 1977. Not that I'm any sort of royalist - just because it was a really good year for me personally. Punk was gaining a foothold in the music charts and there was a really good vibe in the UK at the time. Some academic has recently published a paper stating that 1976 was the best ever year the UK has experienced but I'll go for the year after.

If I was forced to pick one event though, I think it would be the Live Aid concert in 1985 and I'd actually go to Wembley Stadium instead of watching it on TV
 
I think that it would be great to go back to acient Rome or something and watch games at the colleseum or something (even though i would probably faint at the first sign of blood lol)
or to acient egypt to see the great pyramids being built
 
The Salem Witch Trials would be very cool to see but also sad 🙁 Other than that I would like to see the Jack the Ripper times of London..I think it was late 1800's...

Edited in after reconsideration..: Go back to when Marilyn Monroe died to see if it was a suicide or not 🙂

Or maybe 1950s Hollywood because it would help with my script.

We had a thread like this before, but it is cool to speculate about history and what we'd actually like to see...

I'd return to feudal Japan, circa 1300 to learn the art of sword making from a master swordsmith, and swordsmanship from a samurai master.
