Thats it i've had enough! Never before have I had such a strong urge to throw my remote through the tv. What am I talking about? Those annoying ringtone adverts of course.

Twice in one ad break I was subjected to that stupid annoying frog (family board so can't use the words I really want to). I hated it when a similar sound file was used on that racing car that went round by email, I never understood why people found that funny.

And now its not just the frog that we have, there is those birds, blimmen nessy the dragon and now some sort of mexican style one. Its not ending there either, apparantly they are releasing that frog song into the charts and its suspected that its going to be at number one and to do better than Coldplay!

I always knew our music industry was getting bad, but to release this piece of crap. Its gotten that bad that during ad breaks I put my tv on mute so I don't have to hear it.
 
I know what you mean, at first they were only on the music channels, but now I'm seeing the adverts on places like discovery and sky one! You just can't escape from it! :furious:
 
I have to turn the TV off when that stupid frog comes on I cannot stand it, the other ones dont annoy me as much. I have no idea who is going to buy it when it is released

Probably the same people that bought the ringtone.
 
You get them too, huh? They're annoying and I don't spose anyone would dare buy them. I reckon if ever at UNI a cell would go off with that ringtone, the owner of that phone would not survive 😛

Hmmm not that I've seen it but seems that KD has...I'm thinking I should just count my lucky stars I haven't and move on? 🙂

Yes, I regret to report that this infection has spread to new ground...I think a "scorched earth" campaign should commence soon...firebomb the people who use it, and make 'em object lessons...kd looks around. Now where is my flamethrower....

It's in America too. It makes me feel a lil better that it's not just America having it, but then again can't just right it off as stupidity on the country's part anymore either.

I can tune them out to a degree and we usually mute during commercials but, yes, they are incredibly annoying and do make you want to smash your tv. If I remember correctly from the little tv I watch, they haven't made it far past the music channels yet, not on the big guys or even the WB.

But yeah, they're annoying. 🙂 Wish I could help.
 
Obviously I havent seen it yet, or I have been able to either a) ignore it or b)just havent caught it on a channel that I am watching. Sounds as though it has annoyed plenty of people. Of course, I normally get up when a commercial is on and find something to do, because they show way to many of them.

Sorry to disappoint, but it made number one *cringes* the people who bought that single are seriously derranged.
 
Oh, just found out that the guy that made that sound was Swedish. There was a thing on tv with him this morning, and even he thought that it was annoying to listen too 😀

From what I remember they started on the music channels here and then spread.
 
what do you mean getting bad? the chart has been somthing to ignore for years...

as for the frog... its chav thing.

those sneaky multinationals have being trying to get sane peoples money also by selling T-shirts with it captioned as "the annoying thing" so they can have everyones money.

course you'd have to be a nonse to not see through that one...

the world is full of nonses 🙁
 
on MTV they have had those ringtone coms like 4 and 5 times in comercial breaks! no kidding, some twice in na row.. its crazy...

have anyone seen that scary dancing hippo in those commercials? its like a background pic or a message you can send to others or something like that.. its scary!!! :gun:

Kids like it too, cause of the "funny" sounds, might explain why chavs like it to, as they have the same mindset as kids (yeah I can be a bitca, so what?).

The single just literally flies out at work, its rediculous. We had about 20 in delivery today and within 2 hours they had gone. WHY!!! Its just grrr! Although I was putting out display cases at work today and I heard two teenagers taking the michael out of it, so I'm glad its not every teen. Gets me so angered I put my elbow through one of the cases just cause its so rediculously bad. (god its hard to complain about it without a few choicd swearing words)

Good news (note sarcasm), Tweety the Chick, Brad the Brat and all the other "cute and amusing" characters are releasing singles. Can't they just have an album and let it be (destroyed)?

that hippo has traumatised me FOREVER!!!
apparently 60% of the UK LOVE the crazy frog i personally would like to melt the stupid thing..grrrrrrr
