I choose Briley

I'm interested in seeing how many members consider themselves Briley 'shippers over Bangel and Spuffy. This isnt about Briley being your favorite 'ship, it's about whether you'd choose it as Buffy's main 'ship. So, are you willing to stand up and say you choose Briley?

Is it wrong that I don't want to choose anyone for Buffy? I don't think any of them really deserve her, but I think Riley is the one that she could actually have a life with, a proper, well-adjusted life, if she could let herself go and really love him like we know she's capable of.

So, yeah, I think, out of the three, I'd choose Briley over the other two, just because it's the one relationship that could actually work.

But this is about choosing one of the three, and right now, out of the three, I'd choose Briley, because it could be a stable, loving relationship, if both Buffy and Riley could let go of their issues and trust each other.

And, you know, if Riley can let go of Sam, lol.

I think Riley was the worst match for Buffy. I want Buffy to be alone if these are the options. If I have to choose though, In regards of healthy relationship though I think she'd be best of with Angel. I like spuffy more, but that's about love for me, not a relationship. Also, Bangel is far from the perfect match for me. Angel's perfect match Will always be cordy. As for buffy - I don't think she has met the perfect person for her yet.

Even though I cannot stand either Bangel or Spuffy, I have to say that I hate Buffy/Riley a decent amount more than either of them. So, I really would never call myself a Briley, Bangel or Spuffy shipper.

The thing is though that Briley actually offered neither Buffy nor Riley what they needed. It didn't work for either of them. At all. Loving someone who doesn't love you and trying to force love that just won't come on its own is not a recipe for success.

Riley met is his match in Sam and Buffy met her's in Angel. 😀

So yeah, I voted Bangel, but not for the reasons you think.

I don't hate Riley, but I don't think he and Buffy were right for each other. They'd make GREAT friends (possibly with benefits), but not a great couple.

Confusion was not intended. My intention was to see who would choose Briley as Buffy's 'ship. So, for me, choosing "I won't choose" says that you would not choose Briley as Buffy's 'ship, not necessarily meaning that you would choose Bangel or Spuffy.

That's probably more confusing though...

I think that somebody like Riley would have been a nice change for Buffy in the relationship department. I mean, for one thing, with him she wouldn't be considered a necrophiliac. But the problem with their relationship was the he couldn't handle her awesomeness. It was just too much for him to handle I think.

When the show was still on, I was a Bangel. Then when I grew up and watched the show again, I was a Spuffy. Now, I'm very much a Buffy-cookie dough supporter. I don't think she's done baking yet. 🙂
