...Why do so many Whedonites love Felicia Day so much??
She was one of the ones I found less annoying in Season 7 of Buffy, but I couldn't stand her in "Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog", and I don't understand why fans clamor to follow her on Twitter and see her at conventions. Is there something about her that I'm missing? I mean... she seems sweet enough, but I just don't get it.

I'm with ya, I've wondered this before too. She does appear to have a cult following that I never noticed until after Dr. Horrible - or maybe that's how it started. I have some friends that love her; is she just very receptive to fans? That would be a big factor for the fanbase. Good for her, though.
 
I didn't get the amount of love for Vi, either (except, you know, mmmmh, the hair... (sw))... but add me to the number of peeps who absolutely love her as Codex (and writer/head honchette) in The Guild. 😀
 
I wasn't that interested in her as Vi, but I do love Felicia Day. Outside of her acting or whatever, she double majored in math and music, and got accepted into Julliard for violin (thought she decided to go to the University of Texas), which, as a classical music geek, I find incredibly impressive. Plus, natural red hair. And she's a gamer. She's great in The Guild and Dragon Age. Charismatic, pretty, and smart--what's not to like?
 
I hated her in Dr Horrible as well but she seems like a sweet person. Been meaning to check out that web series she's done for a while now actually but keep forgetting.
 
I think it's cause she's such a geek herself. She manages to get roles in everything sci-fi related, and you can tell she's doing it cause she just loves it so much. It's kind of like why people love Evanna Lynch so much from Harry Potter, they can identify with her as a fan before an actor.

She's kinda cute I guess, but I haven't seen her in that much other than Btvs where she was okey, and Dr Horrible, I totally agree she was awful in that, and I don't really understand the love for NPH either to be honest...

Gasp! Blasphemy!

Well, okay, no blasphemy. -steps in to defend NPH- Other than his acting, I think he's incredibly talented. He can sing, he can dance, he's a freakin' magician (and his boyfriend is a professional chef/actor), he's funny, he's charismatic... the list goes on.

First off... I do not understand how anyone wouldn't think Neil Patrick Harris is one of the most amazing men vever.

Second, am I the only one who really liked Felicia Day in Dr. Horrible? I love Penny and I love how Felicia played Penny.

Taste differs so I get that not all love her (or NPH) but the above sums it up for me. Seeing her just make me happy. It might be wrong but she gives off a genuine/real vibe which is nice.

I love Felicia as a person way more than any of her characters.
 
I liked her as Penny, she's OK as Vi. I love NPH, but I don't really like HIMYM. I know, kind of blasphemy as a Buffy fan, but whatever, he's the ONLY part of the show I do like, and that's including AH!

I had to actually google her to find out who she is. I watched a few Guild episodes to see what the hype was and even though I don't understand gaming fascination in general, I thought they were awesome and I'm hooked! Best thing I've seen on YouTube in a while. As for the actress, yeah it's probably the geekiness and nerdiness that's appealing to a lot of fans.
 
I guess... I have never and probably will never watch "The Guild" so I'll take your word for it. 😉

You're not the only one. I loved her in it. She gives such beautiful performance. She's one of my main reasons for loving Dr. Horrible. When she's passing those out fliers in the beginning I immediately adored her.
