Clearly, FOX was no good for Firefly, which was a really good show that was canceled before its time.
So why is Joss dealing with FOX again for Dollhouse? Why not the CW or ABC or even TNT?

FOX was the only option if Joss wanted to work with Eliza, cos she has a development deal with them.

Well, I strongly believe it will get canceled early in its run. Series on FOX have the average life span of a zit.
Hopefully Joss will work with other networks in the future.

Too bad Eliza's stuck with FOX, but she gets to be involved as a producer on her projects apparently too.

Doesnt Joss also have a development deal with FOX aswell? That would be another reason as to why Dollhouse is on FOX.

Though after his and Elizas deals are up they need to head over to ABC.

Joss would be perfect fit for FX I think. They have some quality originals that are slightly off-center of the norm.

Frak that! Don't go to a network that overuses the bloop.

Go to HBO or Showtime. They know how to promote, and the stuff on those networks, for the most part,do not suck.

(Though,as scobro said,FX would be a good alternative as well.)

I guess, fox has control in dvd release, which is where most shows make the big moneys these days, i'd guess joss get's his share of that, which means, money for him, and him liking fox.

What? Isn't FX part of FOX?
It is Fox EXTENDED (how wrong does that sound) it is uncompromised and can offer different programs than non-cable Fox offers. Why you get shows like the Shield etc. Shows that could not be shown on Fox. I think Dollhouse would be a perfect fit for FX. Especially if they are handcuffed to Fox.

He like Fox. He's a 3rd generation writter and producer. His father did a similar show to Sesame Street.

So despite Fox canceling his shows he enjoys working with them.

Ah, thanks. We don't get regular FOX over here, but we get a version of FX (which, incedentally, shows Buffy every day). It also shows programs like Dexter, so I think you might be right. I suppose it has a smaller audience though, so Joss (and the FOX execs) would probably be reluctant.
