If anyone is interested. This is not a joke and it's my own theory but I believe it's feasible.
MY THEORY
First, assuming that Luke was meant to be near the age of Mark Hamil, that would make Luke 30 when he lost his hand at the end of Empire Strikes Back. It has been 30 years since Return of the Jedi.
At the end of the new trailer you hear a lightsaber sound. That sound is actually a soundclip from A New Hope when Luke fires up his lightsaber that Ben gave him. The same lightsaber that would later be cut off in ESB. The Empire was growing a clone from that hand, so now, thirty years later the clone would be the same age as Luke in ESB.
They said that Andy Serkais is playing a large role in the movie, large enough that he was given the trailer voiceover. I posit that the guy in black at the end of the trailer is Andy Serkais playing a motion captured, CGI'd version of Luke circa ESB. So modern day Luke would have to go out and fight clone ESB version of himself. This would be an homage back to the cave in Dagoba where he 'killed himself'.
There you go.. it just popped in my head whilst at work.
