i found out about the series through a commercial last night..!!! so it seems that they are going to start advertising the show a bit..! 😱 : wavey :
 
Yeah, I think I saw that same ad. When I saw it, I practically crapped myself, I was so happy. When Buffy ended, a void in me was created that I feared would never be filled, but I think that this show has the potential to do so. I like its plot and I like Eliza Dushku, so if it manages to stay on the air I will probably be pretty happy. Unfortunately, I think that its chances of doing that are pretty slim, especially since I have not seen the ad since I first saw it. I am afraid that it will not be very popular, simply because people do not know about it. Not to mention that recently, all the networks are rather quick to cancel potentially good shows if they do not have spectacular ratings on their first episode. As a result, we are getting nothing but these crappy reality shows that are created to shock people and get ratings rather than to actually entertain them. So please, support Tru Calling and try to keep it on the air. Buffy fans can't live off of Angel alone...
 
That's how I found out about the show. I was an advocate of the Buffy board and then it went down but on Buffy.nu I saw mention of this show. Then I saw the ad for it. And I decided that it would take the place that Buffy left. Especially now that Fall is rolling in right around now is when I'd be gearing up for the Buffy premier. I remember the fall of Season 5. Nothing like that impatience. So I'm very psyched that I get to start a TV addiction from the very first episode. I sure hope they don't cancel it. I hope enough of us Buffy fans will pool together and tune in. But those reality tv shows have GOT to go.
 
I found out about Tru through Buffy boards and websites also, now I'm hooked (though I'm in the UK so seeing the episodes is a little more difficult, not impossible, just difficult). I agree with 5x5 though, if every station were to get rid of the reality shows and put some GOOD programmes on, TV would be a lot better.
 
I simply found out by being on this board before it was reversed to this theme.
