I got my little sister into Buffy/Angel!

My little sister, Jessica, watches Supernatural with me and my father every week so I told her she might like Buffy/Angel so she started watching them on Netflix.

She blew through the first 3 seasons of Buffy very quickly. She was shocked as hell and freaking out when Angel lost his soul, and Spike quickly became her favorite character on the show along with Buffy and Willow.

When she started on season 4 she tried to do the 'verse in order and alternate between one episode of Buffy and one episode of Angel; however, after Angel 1x03 In The Dark she abandoned that plan. She has grown addicted to Angel and doesn't have the patience to watch Buffy before seeing what happens next on Angel.

Unlike with Buffy, she has a hard time choosing a favorite character on Angel (she is now on 5x17; she says she loves them all so much.

My other little sister, 6 yr old Megan, happened upon us watching Smile Time and laughe during the whole episode. She loved Angel turning into a puppet. "He doesn't like being a puppet!" and she was laughing uncontrollably when Nina attacked Angel and when Spike saw him. It was cute. 🙂 She also watched the first few minutes of A Hole In The World with us, and when Fred was looking at the sarcophagus yelled "She shouldn't touch that! Something bad's gonna happen!"

My little sisters are smart, and apparently have good taste in tv. 😀

Do any of you have any stories you'd like to share about getting friends/family interested in the Buffyverse?

I have an older sis and i actually got her into buffy. Its so much better when you can share an interest like btvs with your family/friends because I used to turn the dvds off incase she didnt want to watch it (and because i was a little bit embarrassed that i had been watching it over and over again) but little did i know she loves it as much as me 🙂
And now we can go to conventions together which is fab!

My younger sister started watching Buffy at about the same time I started it as well, but she stopped somewhere during season 1 (or perhaps season 2). She said she didn't like it.. Oh well, it's her loss.

My mom's not addicted, but she likes to watch an episode from time to time with me. We both love Smile Time and she likes Him because there's a famous Quebec actor in it (Yan England). But really any episode I watch in French she'll sit down and watch with me 😀

My mother enjoyed the show. She wanted to marry Giles and Wesley. She wanted Buffy to end up with Riley and detested Spuffy and Bangel!

I told my father about Angel and he didn't understand why Angel would want to seek redemption lol.

My brother preferred Angel to Buffy and my other brother said, and wait for it, after watching one episode with Spike, he's never going to watch Btvs again!!!

So I guess my mother's the biggest fan in my family, apart from me.
