Can you remember scenes from Btvs/Ats that were very suspenseful and THEN all of a sudden they cut to commercials just when it got REALY suspenseful? What were those scenes and how mad were you when they cut to commercials just at that important moment?

Well to be fair commercials are how thousands (most likely more) of people make money and feed their families. So it does suck when a commercial interrupts a suspenseful part of any TV show, but commercials have been around since the beginning of television and it's something we all should be used to by now

If you watch an episode on the DVDs or on netflix or online without the commercials, you can still see where they went. And sometimes they're in the worst places ever.

Commercials suck. I know they help people feed their families... but so does telemarketing. (or did telemarketing)... We got a TV for Christmas but I barely use it because I despise commercials more than... well most things. I can't do commercials, they're awful. Even the commercials on hulu are too much for me now. Once you start watching with no commercials, it's almost impossible to go back.

I hate commercials too. I get that they're necessary when it comes to free services like Hulu and Youtube, and I don't fault the individuals who are making the commercials. It's their job. The content of certain commercials, though...that's another story. The way some things are marketed is really irritating...

I didn't watch BtVS as it was airing on TV, but I heard from someone that they cut to a commercial break right in the middle of the bathroom scene in 'Seeing Red'. Camera zoomed in on Buffy mid-scream. If this is true, ugh!! That doesn't just make me mad, it makes me furious. Sometimes the way they cut things is just really insensitive.

zobothehobo agrees: If you watch on your DVD or wherever you watch, it should go black in the middle of the scene, that's the commercial break. And yeah, it is in the middle of that scene.

Oh, right! I forgot about the breaks on DVD's, and I haven't seen SR in a while. I can't imagine how jarring it would be to have an actual commercial start airing at that moment...UGH. I don't think I could take it. I'd probably be hurling things at my TV or something, honestly.
