I got an invite and I have already posted 3 of my stories!! If you look by name, I kept the name Bespngeled. It's ultra happy making!
 
Archive Of Our Own - it is owned by those who participate. There are literally hundreds of thousands of stories in every fandom, and equally as much art.

This is just the category page:
Buffy and Angel have a few thousand. The place is awesome - and you need an invite to post. I applied a few weeks ago. Anyone here who writes or does artwork should check it out. Even more- anyone here who reads and enjoys artwork should definitely check it out.

The listing on the all category (i.e. TV) are about 30 pages long, and as you can see some individual fandoms have over 100,000 stories
 
That's awesome! I've been there for a while and it's a great site for fanfics. 🙂
 
Who knows? Maybe Joss will read one of your stories and decide you can write better than some of his stable of writers and invite you to become a writer. Let's face it, some of his writers are good but others are prime targets for replacement. This could get you into the cons - as a panelist!

Hey, the day Buffy was canceled, Joss said - let the fanfic begin! And if I had a prayer in hell of actually writing dialogue I might go fo that daydream! I just love to write!
 
That's great! Once upon a decade or more ago I used to write fanfic and post it on fanfic.net or some such. It could a lot of fun! So let the writing flow and have fun, you 😀


(gotta say it's a bit disturbing to me that there's a "real people" section. Something about that just rubs me the wrong way.)
 
Well, gotta agree. But keep in mind that most stories in the archive aren't sexual. It could be two stars from different shows meeting, or a lost puppy. I've never read any but it looks like most is RPF, sort of written Cosplay.

It doesn't matter to me that it's not sexual, in fact it's almost creepier when it isn't. (I've been stalked in the past though so any idea of somebody fictionalizing any kind of relationship with someone they don't know kind of rubs me the wrong way)
