It's so bad, too, because she's dead and she can never come back except for the occasional dream or delusion or whatnot. She was like, the coolest TV mom ever.

yeah it doesn't feel fair for buffy and dawn not to have a mom their lifes are so hard and they need that kind of parental love. although buffy is trying to play mom, it's not the same as joyce!

I liked her last scene in "I Was Made To Love You." She just came back from a date and she was driving Buffy nuts, joking about how she was seduced by her man.

i always think of Joyce like she was that morning when she cam edown and was like ' diet be damned lets make waffles, cause theyre fat free if she makes them for buffy' or something along those lines
i can see it in my brain but i can t type it
its like a perfect mom moment

i miss her stabilisong effect

Ooh my best memory of the super cool Joyce was 'Band candy' the one where Giles and Joyce are caught groping each other by Buffy. Basically the one where all the adults eat candy which makes their minds function likr teenagers again.

Yeah that was a hilarious episode. Why did she leave? Was it her choice or did the writers want to kill her off. She really was a great mom. But at the same time she made mistakes too, which made her more realistic. She wasn't perfect, which made me love her even more!

My favorite Joyce moment would have to be in Lovers' Walk when she was sitting at the kitchen table making hot chocolate for Spike. She was consoling him about Drusilla

Joyce: "She sounds like a very unreasonable girl."
Spike: "She is, she's out of her mind!"

Hehe. And she went to get marshmallows for him. 🙂

I repeat, I miss Joyce. 🙁

I didn't believe she'd actualy died in the episode she DID die in,but i believe she should be brought back some how,she was cool

I remember reading an article on season five and it said that Joyce's role on the show didn't have anything to do with what they were planning for the leading storyline. They just didn't have any use for her character hanging around so they killed her off sort of speak.

Thanks! No use for her? hmmmm......I don't know if I agree. Dawn needs a mom that can really be a mom, buffy is trying, but she has too many responsibilities. Oh well, whats done is done. I heard she might make an appearance towards the end of season 6. Any news on that?

i heard she wanted to leave so she could spend more time with her real family and she was tired of only being a guest star for five seasons
but thats all just random net info so dont hold me to any of it!

she was ok, just (sorry for being so selfish) but when she died angel came to sunnydale, which is really great. oh, and she did that "i'm the good mommy speech" for angel in the prom.... ok, ok i don't like her, i hate her for that....

When Joyce died I was like "No....::crying2: " The Body has to be one of the saddest and moving ep of Buffy, as well as some others.

I agree with you catdog, I mean she was a great gal, but I don't miss her at all! Now that Willow lives with Buffy and Dawn (and Tara did 2) it's really becoming their Base. That wouldn't have happenend with Joyce arround!

I miss joyce sooo much. She was such a strong character and was always there for buffy and dawn and all of the scoobies. She is truely missed.
