I Need Help! MiniDV related help...

I have a JVC MiniDV and a USB cable. How do I get the footage from the camera to the computer?

Any help is appreciated, lol.

You probably need to give a little more info re: connectivity 🙂
When you say JVC MiniDV I assume you mean a camcorder...or do you just have a MiniDV tape you need to upload?

Me, I connect my DV camcorder to my Mac or PC via a Firewire cable but I suppose it's possible via USB if you have the right cable. You'll need a compatible image capture software to load your video into - I use iMovie on the Mac or Pinnacle Studio on PC...the Mac wins every time though 🙂

But seriously, I would google around for a forum or BBS that featured JVC camcorders or whichever software you're using to produce your vids...you're more likely to find more relevant advice there

Just make sure that your computer has a firewire connector and what type it is and also what type of connector is on the camcorder...there are a couple of different types. No sense in buying the wrong cable 🙂
