I've seen that people make comments directly onto someones post, can someone tell me how they do that?

In the top right corner of the post you want to comment on, you'll see three icons. Click on the middle one that read's "Add to reputation" when you scroll over it. Then write your comment!

Ignore my uncontrollable fits of stupidity. I believe there is a scale or something on the top of each post. Supposedly that's what you hit. I have yet to test it.
