Ok, so I just got back from school, and I just need someone to help me.
This morning, we found out that one of our classmates has a brain tumour. Its so hard to take in, Im so upset. Although, I dont hang round with this guy, hes a good friend, and I've known him since I was little.
I just, I dont understand, I mean, why does this have to happen to him? Its not fair, he's only 16.
Anyway, he's going for an operation tomorrow, but Im just, so scared, Im lost, Ive never went through this before, and his friends are upset, and Im trying to cheer them up, and my friends are upset, and Im trying to cheer them up too, but I cant, its all strange...The tumours gotten big it might not be operable, and I dont want to loose him, and I dont understand!
Im probably not making any sense, but thats the point, this whole thing doesnt make sense.
God its just so weird.
What should I do?

No idea. Man that would suck. Maybe just try and get trhough it as best as you can? don't think about it. May sound mean but it's the only think i can think of to do. Making everyone feel better is a good die. keep doing that. Other then that..... I;m lost as well.

I am really sorry that you are going through something as horrible as this.

We can't really answer why things like this happen. Unfortunatly we can only accept that they do.

I think the best thing you can do right now is be there for your friend. He will need you, and you will need him. Make sure you talk about it with someone. Talk to your parents. Talk to your friends. Talk to me. Talk to everyone on the board. We are here for you, and while we can't make it better, we can listen to you and sometimes that really helps.

I hope everything works out okay for your friend. Keep thinking positively, sometimes all someone needs to pull through something awful like this is someone supporting them. Please keep us posted.

I'm going through something very similar except its my brother that has the brain tumor. I can't tell you what to do its just something you have to find your way through in your own way.

Hopefully this person will do well and things will be alright after the surgery. Thats all you can hope for I know that its hard to think that stuff like this can happen to someone, but it does. Life isn't fair and it never will be. You just have to find your way to make it through things. Maybe finding someone that you can just vent to would help I know it helps me with this kind of stuff. You'd be suprised about how much a person you barely know can help you.

As I've told you before, for now, relax, don't think about it too much, don't get yourself too wound up, make sure you're all rested for when he comes out, so that if he needs you, you can really be there for him.

Try not to worry about it! I know it's hard! My dad had a triple bypass on his heart a few years ago so i know the different things that go through your mind! He's ok now though! It was just so scary when it was all happening!

Me and my father have never been friends and a lot has happened that shouldn't have but almost losing someone close to you can be the worst thing in the world!

As for trying to cheer everyone up! It's really nice of you but you'll end up being more stressed than you need to be! Take care and try to think positive! I hope your friend gets well soon! 🙂

Feel free to pm me and talk if you need to!

I know how you must be feeling...I went through the same thing with a best friend of mine, only difference was, she was only 10.
But like everyone has said, try not to think about it and talk to your friends about it, I'm sure they'll all be going through the same thing as you.

I hope he gets better soon.

Ok, trying to catch up with 3 days of posts so I'm kinda skimming and hope no one else said this but hon, not much you can do for him but be supportive and pray. Try to turn your negetive/nervous energy into something positive. If you have time go to the store and get a couple of those huge pieces of poster board and some rainbow markers and take them to school and have everyone sign them with thier best get well wishes. Then get some balloons and/or flowers and take them to the family of the hospital. Let them know they have everyones prayers and support. I'm sure the family is really scared and would love to know that so many people are loving and pulling for their kid. 🙂
