I need your opinion: Angel S1 or S2?

I have money to buy another DVD boxset for Christmas. I'm thinking of getting either Angel Season One or Season Two.
I can't exactly decide right now. There's still a lot of eps from these seasons that I haven't watched. So all you Ats watchers, tell which one you like better.
 
I think Angel Season 2 is so much better than Season 1 that it's not even like watching the same show.

Aside from one episode (I Will Remember You), I thought Angel Season 1 was pretty sub-par. It improved towards the very end of the season, but Season 2 started strong and just kept getting better!
 
S2 is way better: it has the awesome Darla/Dark!Angel arc and the Host! Plus great stuff for Gunn and Cordy, lots of awesome eps, and dumb fun in the Pylea mini-arc. Aside from I Will Remember You, Five By Five and Sanctuary, and about 4 or 5 other good eps, Angel season 1 wasn't too great.
 
You should buy season 2, slayerangel. It has flashbacks, the Darla arc, Dru, Lorne, the Pylea arc, etc. Season 1 is okay, but season 2 kicks butt.
 
Personally, I love Season 2 much much more than Season 1. But I would much rather go with seeing the first season before 'cause missing 'Five By Five' and 'Sanctuary' would just suck... all that Buffy/Faith tension. Life Foi said, you have to know Doyle and what he was like if you haven't yet. And what's the hurt in going in chronological order anyway?
 
If I had the S1 DVD, I've heard that "Five by Five", "Hero, and "Sanctuary" are great and so was "City Of", but I don't know what to expect of S2...

How 'bout this: I tape "IWRY," "Hero," "Five by Five," and "Sanctuary" when it airs again... I've already seen a few eps with Doyle, but not much. I can get S2 for Christmas and if I have enough money during Vietnamese/Chinese New Year and my birthday, I'll be faced with the dilemma of S1 or S3. I started watching Angel during the very end of S3 and I like it, I guess. Or maybe S1... darn. How does that sound?
 
I had enough money, so I bought both! I like S2 better, but S1 also has great episodes... I was laughing when I watched "She," "Judgement," and "Through the Looking Glass"! Joss is a funny man!
 
season 2 is great (esp 'The Trial') but it would be more obvious to buy s1 before s2. besides, if you buy s1, you get 'i will remember you' and that's gotta be the best angel ep ever!
 
I love S5, but I was dying to see Angel S1 and S2! I should have time away from Buffy for a little while... but not long. I will definitely get S5 and I'm happy... I'll get to finish watching everything over this four-day weekend coming up! Thank goodness for Waiver Day!
