decent episode, felt bad for Buffy when Angel recoiled from her kiss.

So Spike can walk , wouldn't want to be Angelus right about now.


The snakes showing up in the lunchroom was S0 RANDOM, didn't fit with the rest of the episode.

I love this episode.... It's one of my favorites from S2. I LOVED how Sarah and David kinda switched roles; David really showed off his acting chops on that one. Not many men could act as if they were posessed by a woman and play it without being goofy.
I thought the snakes were a nice touch... Lots of weird stuff can happen with the paranormal involved, especially on a Hellmouth, apparently. LOL Though if something like that had happened to me, I'd have been screaming and running right along with everyone else.

i love this episode as well. it's one of my favourite buffy episodes. it was a great story and i loved that buffy and angel switched roles for the re-enacting.

Ditto on the Buffy/Angel murder re-enactment, especially since the re-enactment fit very well with their own relationship. It also made me wonder, if Buffy and Angel remember being possessed, then how did they feel afterward? I get the feeling that Buffy shared some (if not most) of the dead guy's anger, so she could relate to him. And I think that Angel developed a different perspective on his romance with Buffy. I especially liked his fearful expression when Possessed Buffy is about to shoot him--haunting and cool, and very good acting.

It was a cool episode..I didn't like Sarah's acting in the end though..It just seemed wrong and strange. Even if it was under spell..AND notice the lovely saliva string when they kiss...YUM

I watched this today because I'm on an s2 kick... which isn't very uncommon for me. I also needed a break after back to back History and Chemistry exams.

I like this episode a lot. I find it really emotional and therefore really good. In Buffy, the emotional ones and the funny ones are the ones that get to me most, I think. I just really liked how Buffy and Angel were almost forced to deal with their problems in this mystical way which is really interesting especially because Angel is still Angelus and he took the role of Grace and Buffy was James.

I always like at the end when Buffy talks about why James chose her instead of Angel, why she was the only one affected by their love story who was a girl yet was possessed by the guy. She guessed he could relate to her, and that made the Buffy/Angel conflicts so much deeper, I think, and maybe less supernatural and more natural because these two love stories were so similar.

One last thing that I like is that at first, it just seems like another one-episode arch, another small mystery for Buffy to solve. But it isn't. She becomes involved in it, captured by it, and is able to explore her own emotions through it. I think that makes it unique from some of the others.

Also, Buffy/Angel = love. I don't care if it was forced. XD

I am actually watching this ep right now with my three year old Buffy nut. And I do think it is a very decent episode. Especially the whole Buffy relating to James scenario.

side note: the snake incident, wasn't so off as it was under done. People generally fear snakes and poltergeists tend to force people to experience fear. This is just my own opinion btw 😀

Oh, I forgot to say how much I love when Buffy says to Angel "Don't walk away from me...BITCH!". Angelus totally deserved that after him being bad. This one word just much better than basically kicking his ass, in my opinion.

I think this is one of the best Buffy episodes ever written. I thought it was just amazing. Like others have said, It really showed off the talents of the actors. Especially Sarah and David. Switching not only character roles, but roles of the sex is a complicated thing. You have to have a clear mind set, be prepared and be professional about it. Letting your feminine side out isn't always something a man likes to do in public. I'm glad it worked out because it made for a fantastic episode.

I believe in the special features for this episode that Joss mentioned this was the episode that made him realize that David could carry his own show. I don't blame him. With talent like David's I would never doubt that he could. His acting was truly amazing in this episode.

I know a lot of people love this episode but except from the end with Buffy and Angel it really doesn't do much for me. So little in fact that I wouldn't mind just seeing the end. I know the end gets better due to the build-up but still.
