I, Robot... You, Jane - Interesting Facts

Willow used to have a crush on Giles, this is mentioned explicitly in "Where the Wild Things Are".

True...but it's also generally implied over many of the earlier episodes and revisited when Willow goes Dark...
"You called me a rank, arrogant amateur. Well buckle up, Rupert... 'Cause I've turned pro."

Something that obviously left a mark on Willow's memory was that rebuke from her once highly admired and idolized mentor...

I might be like the only one but I like this episode, it's like that movie Troll 2.
It's so bad that is it's good !

Dude! Nothing is like Troll 2. I mean, I love Troll 2, it's amazing, the sheer terribleness of the film, the utterly hilarious overacting from the woman who plays Creedence... I have yet to get bored of it. But no- this episode doesn't even come close to being that bad XD

Anyway... it's been a long, long time since I saw this episode in full, so... I quite like it. A bit of an obvious internet-dating-is-dangerous, but it has Jenny, and so I'm kind of obliged to like it 😛

so many critics claim this to be one of the worst episodes ever, but I actually quite enjoyed it. Partially because this is one of the most signifigiant episodes that displays what this show is known for: taking real life problems and transforming them in to literal demons. i often use this as an example when introducing the show to other people. though they did make some obvious mistakes in this one.... 😛

Agreed. This episode shows that there are some messed up people (or demons lol) on the internet, and you need to be careful about who you get involved with

One of the worst? What? Man, I love this episode! Why all the hate.

(I might be biased since we meet Jenny in this episode but regardless, it is super entertaining!)

I can definitely see where the critics are coming from, being that this episode has a lot of flaws and a cliché story-line. Overall, being the Buffy fan that I am, I really don't hate any episode, though. In retrospect, you can look back and say that this is a really fun episode that gets to introduce Jenny and center around Willow for the first time in the series. There's a lot of funny scenes (like Willow getting back at Cordelia for example) and it's Buffy at its campiest... which isn't necessarily always a bad thing.

- Buffy's birthday was celebrated in the episode first aired on or near 19 January each year. In this episode, Malcolm brings up Buffy's school records on his computer. In the first view, we see that Buffy was born on 24 October 1980, and that she is a sophomore. The second time we see Buffy's records, her birthday is 6 May 1979, and she is a senior. (She is also shown with two different GPAs, one of them excellent.) Joss Whedon finally decreed Buffy's birthday to be 19 January 1981.

I totally noticed that yesterday and wondered if it was part of Malcolm's plan or if it was just a goof.
I don't remember who said that once, but when Willow opens her locker, there is a picture of her and Giles, that's so cute 😀

When Willow says that she's not exactly a boy magnet and it's the first time a boy is interested in her, I want to tell her "Oh don't worry, in a few episodes, you will wear an eskimo costum and Oz will notice you and it'll be the start of a super cute love story  "

I like this episode, specially the last scene, when they comfort Willow and laugh about the fact they had a something with a vampire, a demon/robot and a fiant praying mantis, and then they realize they really are doomed. I love the faces they make 😀
