Yay fireworks! We have fireworks in WA for Australia day as well. But my vote for Australia Day is a giant kangaroo jumping across the screen, or images of my face falling from the top of the screen giving the thumbs up while I drink my VB and where my Australia flag shirt.

Hehe I just found out about St Georges day...apparently I've missed it for 18 years. We should have Red,White and Blue fire works, and maybe a queens head.....

ahahaahaha.

I would die of laugher if I came on a saw that.

For German Unity Day (Oct 3rd) you could do a guy with a bored expression saying "good, a day off work". 😀

(And the fireworks are a cool effect, mind you.)

This is true, I'm all for celebrating your independence 🙂 However, since it is a global board I can understand people getting a little annoyed that we are celebrating your independence but not other national holidays of other countries.

Just looking at the situation from both sides 🙂

I agree...I'm not saying we should include every holiday from all countries, but some of the most known should be given the chance to be included too if 4th of July is celebrated.

The fireworks are rather cute.
Also, 5th of November would be an awesome idea.
 
It is really pretty but the first time i saw them i was worried that the heat was getting to me! lol
 
I like the fact that people that have experienced the snow still questioned their minds because of this. 😛

A nice touch to the 4th of July even though I due to timezones didn't see it until the 5th. But not like it matters since I'm not american. Except for in my karma level. 😉 I get that people get a bit jealous or what ever, but just to know how you feel. Is it better to have no things like this or that your country/holiday doesn't get the same treatment?
 
You know what? I saw it, and spur of the moment put it on. It wasn't a deep dark anti-everyone-who's-not-American-thing.

All anyone had to say in this thread was, "Can we have this for ______ day too?" And I would have said, "Sure!" There's no need for everyone to start getting all insulted about things like they're being left out when they haven't even asked for the thing they want yet!

I'm not an encyclopedia of non-US holidays so if no one tells me I don't know.
