Ok, maybe I'm just babbling.
But I was watching OMWF, and it clicked that Buffy talks about how she touches the fire, and it freezes her.
Well, I immediately thought back to Chosen, where Spike and Buffy hold hands in flames.
Do you think its any kind of significance? Or does it just matter in the messed up brain that is Lee's?
 
I was thinking the same thing...even made a banner on it (but I'm not gonna lie and say it doesnt look like crap). I totally think it has some siginificance to the Spuffy relationship...only Joss knows how.
 
I don't think Joss had in mind the series finale when he wrote
once more with feeling.
 
I think the whole fire thing was just to show that Buffy did care for him. It could have some part in it though, I dunno.
 
yeah, thats a good point..i didn't really get that whole song, maybe that thing w/ the finale did have something to do w/ it..hmmm
 
I think the point of the song was to stress the whole "when I crawled out of my grave, I feel like I left part of me behind" thing.

She's stressing the fact that since she came back from wherever she was she's having trouble connecting with life and general, nothing moves her.

the rest of the line

why can't i feel,
my skin should crack and peel
I want the fire back.

then,
now thru the smoke she calls to me,
to make my way accross the flames
to save the day, or maybe melt away
i guess it's all the same.

saying, she doesnt care if she lives or dies, that's pretty much what the entire episodes theme was. Buffy is numb,
not buffy is going to grab spikes flaming disintegrating hand during the final moments of the series finale.

I didnt say that she sang HIS fire.
I was playing with the words, so I could assosiate OMWF and Chosen...
I know what she sings...Ive watched it like 40 times...
