Okay, Here me out.

By becoming a vampire, you get to live forever, barely be able to get really hurt, and heal very fast. So what if you can't go outside during the day... you can, just not in direct sunlight... plus you don't need to! You can sleep, go on your computer, watch t.v., use your I pod, read... The only downside of being a vampire is drinking blood...which you like to do, really really like to do!! You can still eat real food/taste it, and do whatever you want to do during the night that you couldn't during the day. And you never age!!! The only thing you'd have to do is get Willow to re-ensoul you seconds after you awake as a vampire :lmao: Can she do that? If she can then I'm sold. I don't see why Angel is always so down...

you do make some good points :)
Angel was "down" because he knew that no matter who he got close to, they wouldn't always be there. He would. I think that's one of the things that bothered him...

It's also one of the things that bother me. Living forever is one of my greatest fears. Scary...lol!

I want to live forever. I would definitely not mind being a vampire. The blood part is nasty but since vampires like it I guess it wouldn't bother me. I would figure out where the slayer lived and then live in a place on the other side of the world.

Oh, if I ever had a dream that I was myself as a vampire, I hope I'd never wake up.

I'd love to be a vampire but only because I think they would be sexy... which i guess would make me one of those losers from tht episode with max from roswell in it, but who cares, guess im just a loser lol

No way! I have no desire to live forever at all. One lifetime has enough suckyness, why want an eternity of it? I want to get really really old, make all my grandchildren watch Buffy and die in my sleep!

No sunlight, no friends, no real life, just living as an eternal parasite without a soul killing and devouring the people you used to be with just to continue your damned existence, always in the dark, always alone, always suffused with the lifeblood of innocent people for having done nothing to deserve it, nothing to you anyway. Its a shell of an existence and quite possibly one of the most depressing and emotionally hollow states one could achieve. A monster in a persons skin, "you" would have moved off into the unknown and this thing would be wearing you're body instead.

At least in the context of the Buffyverse, Vampires vary incredibly throughout ficiton but still, no thanks.

I would sire some of my friends and family, and SMG and then I wouldn't be alone.
Sure. I'd do it.

I'm kind of on board with the whole atheist's lament thing from A Hole in the World. I'm not sure there's no God, but I'm pretty sure there's no soul. I'm pretty sure that your soul is your personality and that it is destroyed when you die. That seems... tragic and horrible and wrong. So if becoming a Buffyverse vamp were a possibility, I'd take it. Existence -- in almost any form -- is better than non-existence.

Only way I'd want to be a vamp is if there was a chance I could force Willow or some crazy Gypsy people into giving me a soul, before I get a vamp to turn me, so I don't kill the people when I ask for the soul :lmao: Then It'd be great, otherwise idk

Yea!! But if we were in the Buffyverse.. then we already know there is an existence after you die or atleast we think there is, there is isn't there?

According to the Buffyverse yes there is an after life...its episode three of season 6!!

Ok ok in all seriousness according to Buffy there is an afterlife. Buffy says she was in Heaven and Angel and Spike were both in Hell. If there wasn't an afterlife there would have been nowhere to take Angel's soul from when he was cursed. So Buffywise there is an After Life and personally I think there is one in the real world too.

Yeah just skip Osiris a twenty and ask for a nice cushy Heaven dimension. He gives you any lip, just say you a friend of Willows and I'm sure he'll find a nice one for you.

Good point. But if I lived in the Buffyverse, would I have run into Angel and Spike and Buffy and have heard the true tales of the afterlife, or would I be a clueless Sunnydale citizen, oblivious to the dangers of the night until some blood sucker stuck his fangs in me? I ask because that would have an influence on my reaction. If I knew about the metaphysics involved in the Buffyverse, I probably would choose death over vampirism. I mean, I'm not super blood lust girl. I think I'd balk at the idea of voluntarily choosing a life of cannibalism and murder, but there would be a small chance that I'd choose vampirism just to stay in my familiar body and in my familiar world rather than to take my chances on the crap shoot that is the Buffyverse dimensional divide. If I didn't know about the Buffyverse afterlife, though, I'd choose prolonged life (even as an unlife) to an uncertain and probably nonexistent afterlife.

But it wouldn't be 'you' exactly. If your in the Buffyverse and you don't know the gang, well more than likely your gona get staked. Cuz like we said a few weeks ago, they can't just decide to save your soul.

I'd totally be a vampire, but I wouldn't want a pesky soul, I'd just hide out from the slayer 😛

Oh now if I had to be or already were a Vampire by whatever means then I'd go after a Slayer for the Hell of it.

I mean 1800? separate one from the herd, watch her, learn her moves, impress even Angelus with an elaborate scheme to eliminate her.

I wouldn't, I'd be to scared to do that 😛 Okay, maybe vamp me wouldn't be.

Why Angel Is So "Down"

(I posted this a long time ago, but for those of you who don't remember or never read it...)

A vampire's normal diet is blood, but not just any blood, it needs to be the blood of their own species to contain all of the nutrients needed for proper health. For example, a human vampire needs human blood, whereas a canine vampire (if such a thing would exist, would require canine blood). Since Angel lives off of animal blood, pig mostly, he doesn't get all of the things a good little vampire needs.

Spike also lives off of animal blood, but he supliments it with human food, either mixed with his pig's blood (I'll never eat Wheetabix again!) or by itself, therefore he gets those missing vitamins, minerals, and, most importantly, bulk, giving him a more balanced diet. Now, as everyone knows, a diet rich in bulk is required for regularity.

Angel isn't "down" all of the time, he's just constipated. That's why he's so full oh s**t all the time.
