does anyone else feel sorry for the poor robot girl?

i just watched the ep, and when she is on the swing together with Buffy, i just felt so so sorry for her... and the imagie of her sitting in warrens dorm room for as long of a time as it takes to knit 5 swetters that is just... well :: broken .

loved the scene were april comes into the party and willow and xander make remarks.. funny.. and when she throws poor spiky boy out the window... i feel so sorry for spike as well, he seem to want really badly to be apart of the gang, and he tries, but no cigar... 🙁

any thoughts?

Robots dont have feelings.
I did feel sorry for her though, poor little girl, and Warren, all he had to do is switch her off, that *******! But she was so chirpy and happy, im sure if she was at my house she would have been hit over the head with a sledge hammer, it would be so exhasting!

Yeah I felt sorry for her. Leaving her like that was a crappy thing to do. I believe that she did feel something. Remember he said that she was suppose to run down a week before.
I think love and hope kept her going.

April was definitely one of my 'one-episode' characters (along with Sunday, from The Freshman)

This is definitely one of my favourite episodes, ever...it being a Jane Espenson episode and all, cuz I LOVE her work!!!

But yeah, everything in this episode was great; The Anya/Tara scene 'You should see the website I designed for the Magic Shop. HUGE photo of me' Anya/Xander at the party 'She speaks with a strange evenness and selects her words and shade too precisley' Ok...so...Im mostly choosing Anya bits...but is that really of a suprise? lol...

I *LOVE* love love, the scene at the Magic Box where Xander says about how great it would be to have a robot girlfriend, and all the girls just look at him, but Anya's expression is PRICELESS!!! Awwww! She's so adorable!

Yeah, I felt sorry for April...and...I did think she had feelings...she seemed to hurt when Warren had gone, and she kept up hope that he was coming back...and I think its beautiful how Buffy lies to her to make her happy...thats just so...awwww 😀
I love when April says 'Its getting dark. What if he comes back and he cant find me in the dark?' Awww! Bless her!!!

I remember, watching the episode when it was airing, and the end was DEFINITELY a shocker...not reading spoilers at that time, I just thought Joyce was gonna come back the next episode...no way would they kill someone like that off...then I grew older...and became wise...well...sort of anyway...and learned how Mr Whedon's mind worked 😛

I felt bad for her! She must have had feelings built into her.... it's not her fault that she was made to love Warren and he didn't want her anymore. Poor thing! That was her purpose and he took it away!

Lee honey... is it me or are you a little obsessed with Anya? Did everyone know this except me? lol

I definitely felt sorry for her, whether she had feelings or not.

btw. Elmo, yes, I think most people knew that...lol

I love this episode actually... 🙂 It's one of my favourite episodes ever... 😛 I just love the little talk that April Bot had before her battery things went out... 🙂

uhm Lee, im not sure whther your spose to take that as a compliment or not..
I love when there walking in the park, and Taras like "People on the internet have really bad spelling" that is so not us we have the best Engrish 😀

Did you spell english wrong on purpose, if you did then lol, but if you didnt then you spelt english wrong lol.

Yeah i really felt sorry for that robot, aprilm she was funny, i loved that anta and tara scene too, tara is so sweet and anya is just so funny, was it explained why april didnt go off, did she find a way to charge herself up or something.

Yea lol that was the point. My lame jokes. I think she put her finger in a power point so she could be with her one true love for a longer time.. *aww*

This is such a random episode in the middle of season 5. Great for a bit of comic relief. I was watching this the other night and I never fail to laugh. Mainly because of Warren [I'm slowly becoming obsessed with him]

I felt so much for April, poor robot girl, she'd do anything for Warren and he didn't want her. I don't understand why he couldn't of just taken out her batteries or re-programmed her. Then again, I guess we wouldn't have a story then!

I'm gonna go against the odds and say Britney Spears would have been great at that role.

I mean shes so good at acting fake in real life...

Damn you Comma...I wanted to bring that up...I don't think the character of April would have been as lovable with Britney's annoying voice and skanky image...

Xander Harris; can I just say that your... stating the obvious! lol look at your sig 😉😛
And ChosenOne, Im not folowing..

I must say that I hated this episode. The only good that came out of it was the introduction of Warren and his girlfriend, which lead up to some of the more unfortunate events in s6 (and of course, the Buffy-bot). But when I saw it I found it kinda lame. April went on my nerves from minute one, even though I did find the scene at the playground moving.

Oh my god.

The entire ending of this episode was so sad. The expression on april's face when her batteries die, and when you least expect, buffy walks in on her dead mom.

This is one of my more favorite episode from season 5.

I felt sorry for the poor girl...yeah, she was a robot, but she must've mad some sort of feeling.

She was so nice and sweet (except the whole "Warren's my man and nobody touch him" thing..), and so innocent...gah...

This was definitely one of my favortie S5 eps. Gave a more comedic feel to a dramatic time.
