I Will Remember You

Watch the episode "Soul Purpose". You'll see what I mean.

What the hell? Excuse me? Since when did I harbor the impression that every man in Buffy's life posed as a "patriarchal" threat? Are you in the habit of putting words in the mouths of those who disagree with you?

You know, I was going to answer your question. But I don't think I will.

Woah, woah, woah! Chill out a little bit. I'm not in the habit of putting words in anyone's mouths, thanks very much. Sorry if I made you feel like I was. Most people on this board that know me, know that that is actually something I never do. Sure, I might misread a post but it is never my intention to do what you are suggesting I have done to you. My JOKE about the opinion thing at the start, was just that; a joke. I guess that went over your head, it happens online frequently, next time I'll use a smiley. But it seems that you might take a slight criticism of your interpretation of the series in the most negative way possible.

The quote you used in this thread previously, I just so happened to read after another feminism/patriarchy filled post in the the Buffy and Giles thread by yourself, so I was literally asking you, as I had seen two of your own posts to suggest this, whether you had issue with all the male characters?

But if you don't want to answer, it's fine. I'm not sure I'm that interested now anyway, as you don't seem to up for discussing it.

You know, I never cried more in my life. I was watching that episode and I was so happy they are together, everything was so perfect and for just one second I forgot all that will end. And when it did I cried so much. I was and I am a Bangel addict and I miss them so much. Most of the people see that episode like something painful, but for me that is one little piece of Heaven. Like they never ended. I'm just sorry she never found out about it. Maybye everything would be different. I'm sure it will.

What can i say? It's probably one of the best episodes of "Angel"...IMO it shows the nobility of Angel and his tremendous love for Buffy...

I disagree with people who say that Angel gave up humanity because he felt weak...it is obvious that he noticed Buffy would have to fight for both of them if he remained human...she would risk her life for him...the last thing Angel wanted is to see Buffy dying.

Angel sacrificed his only chance to be really happy with the only woman he ever loved because he didn't want her to risk her life for him...and also he knew that he had a long path for redemption...I cry every time he announces Buffy what he has done...i am sure Buffy understood the reasons...they are both Champions and they know that some actions must be done whether the other person knows or not...I was disturbed that Buffy didn't know about that day mostly because she would realise his great love for her,but then i realised...if she ever found out she would be really depressed...because she would know that she had one chance to be with the man she really loved and that chance is gone...but for good reasons...i think it would be hard to handle...

Angel ep by ep; I WILL REMEMBER YOU

Sorry, got the wrong episode title

I will remember you
The Good;
Love the Oracles to bits, they're just wonderful. Some great fight scenes and pretty much a Bangler's dream come true.
The Bad;
If the demon can regenerate and make itself stronger through salt why doesn't it just do that all the time?
Best line:
Female Oracle; "I love time, there's so much of it, yet so little"

Jeez, how did they get away with that?
Apocalypses: 4
Angel Cliches
Damsel in distress; nope, 2.
Inverting the Hollywood cliche;
In disguise; 2.
DB get's his shirt off; 3 not only that but SMG licks ice-cream from his chest. Really is a Banglers' dream.
Cordy's tatto;2
Cheap Angel; According to CC he's too tight to hire a cleaning lady
Fang Gang in bondage:
Cordy: 5
Angel: 4
Wes: 1

Fang gang knocked out:
Cordy: 8
Angel: 7
Wes: 1
Doyle; 1

Kills:
Cordy: none this ep. 3 vamps, ½ a demon from her time in Sunnydale
Angel: 1 demon for Angel. So that gives Angel 8 vamps, 4 demons, 2 humans.

Fang Gang go evil:
Cordy: 1
Angel: 1

Alternate Fang Gang: human Angel
Cordy: 2
Angel: 5

Characters killed: two plant workers but then the day resets so no one
14

Total number of Angel Investigations:
3, Angel, Doyle and Cordy

Angel Investigations shot:
Angel: 5,
Packing heat;
Doyle; 1

Notches on Fang Gang bedpost: Buffy and Angel for the second time and it goes a whole lot better than the first. Trouble is she'll never remember any of it.
Cordy: 1?
Angel: 1;Buffy

Kinky dinky:
Loads of Buffy/Angel action. Cordy comments that when they get 'all groiny' the world falls apart.
Captain Subtext;
Know the face, different character; 2
Parking garages;
2
Guantanamo Bay;
Buffy characters appearing in Angel; (unless someone can correct me no original Angel character ever appears on Buffy?)
5; Angel, Cordy, Oz, Spike, Buffy
Questions and observations;
Cordy's family used to have a cat as well as her pony. Buffy refers to her (and presumably Dawn?) visiting their dad in LA, the last positive reference to Hank Summers we'll ever have. The only time Doyle and Buffy meet. This eps gives us a useful way in which to make vamps human, much used in fanfic as is the reset day. Question is if a non-souled vamp was hit with Mohra demon blood would it be resouled?
Marks out of 10; 6/10, literally an ep that never happened?

I've fixed the title for you :)
Aww, 6/10? 🙁

lol, I get what you mean, but as a hardcore Bangel, I can't help but 10/10 it. In a totally biased way it's probably my favourite Angel episode.

I love it when Angel makes himself sick from eating! 😛

And all the Bangely goodness goes without saying. For me this is a just foreshadowing of what will be; what's to come for them. It's just so cute.

And I just love episodes that me cry like a baby. It's a very bittersweet episode but it's got everything I could ask for! 🙂

I'm heartbroken just reading about it.

I think this is the most romantic show tv ever saw. I love how Joss said he cried when he watched it. I think most of us had the sam reaction. I don't know what's my favourite scene, when he start's eating (lol), when he kisses her in the sunlight or when are they happy together in the bed - perfect Bangel moment they always wanted but never got. The end is.. well I think there's not word sad enough to describe it but I know her face is the thing that makes me wanna cry and when she say's "I'll never forget".

10/10 for me, and the episode that never happaned, well I think that's harsh thing to say, you made me sad, because that is one of the most beautiful moments I ever saw.

This in absolutely no way alters my absolute support of the Bangel relationship, but my problems with this episode are well known. Any time in fiction that anyone tries to alter time in order to "make things better," the anomaly always causes more harm than good, plus there is the general theme that all Fate is, in the end, inescapable. Granted, Buffy didn't die PROTECTING ANGEL, but she died the next year anyhow, so all that Angel's sacrifice resulted in was a year of happiness with the woman he loved. A poor bargain, if you ask me.

never happened, don't mention it
Whoa..here it goes.....I cried like a baby in the last scene with Buffy and Angel...I ADMIT IT!
I totally wanna deny it after this, but right now I'm saying it. It was amazingly played by both actors.
The rest of the episode though, was boring me.

It's Angel's show so it's about his sacrifice. Too bad that his sacrifice is for nothing, Buffy still dies. In fact his whole journey in AtS is about being alone and how people who temporarily allies with him had to die because of it: Doyle, Cordelia, Fred, Wesley. Maybe this is Angel real curse to be alone and never find happiness.

That was deep....
Well i have expressed my opinion on this epi like a thousand times!:lmao: But i am never bored to talk about BANGEL love!

One of the happiest and saddest moments on tv. They finally get together, they finally get to be happy and truly together! I mean they just touched each others' fingers...and see what happened??? lol! long hours of happiness and ice cream!

The last scene ALWAYS makes me cry 🙁. I don't know if it is the way Sarah cries that always breaks my heart, but this was just painful. They had only once chance and Angel wanted to protect Buffy and keep her from harm. What can I say? I may don't like his decision but to me it means he is noble and he loves Buffy more than himself...more than anything.

I just wish Buffy gets to know onw day. Can't Joss read this thread and make her know?:cheering: I am sure she will get mad at first but she will understand...i know she will.

I liked this ep. I felt it tug at my heart strings a little, but it was for the best. Angel and Buffy do a lot for a world...so really... what's one day that they can be human and do all that romancy stuff? Heroes need a day off sometime.

Yes, I am a fan of Buffy/Angel... don't stone me. lol. I don't know, I think it's the whole "forbidden love; they want what they can't have" kind of thing. Angel will always have a huge impact on Buffy's life...and vice versa. I don't know, maybe I'm just a day-dreaming softy lol.

I liked the fact that Bangel fans got one last ep to see Buffy and Angel properly together again, even if it didn't actually happen in the end haha. Some of the scenes were a bit cheesy though, like when they're in bed together - I wanted them to break up already at that point - but when it gets to the end it's a real tearjearker. One of the saddest scenes on Angel I think.
