I wish my town had a "Bronze"

Do you mean like an actual cool night club to hangout in or just like a scooby gang Hangout?

If its the former not really. They're usually too loud, there's long lines to the bar and they're populated by drunks. Also if it were anything like in Buffy it would be populated by Underage kids, and I'd hate that.

Now if you're referring to the latter I sort of already have one in my life. It's called "The Woody" and it's a bar/restaurant where my friends and I go weekly to attend quiz nights and have a few drinks. I love it because whilst we don't fight vampires or monsters we do have a team of cheats who attend weekly (sneakily using their iphones whenever they can) and it feels good to have a common enemy we can unite against and smack talk about. 🙂

I really wish we had a place as cool as the bronze around here. We have bars but no cool ones with lounge spots and of course if there's ever a live band it's usually a metal or hardcore band. It would be so awesome to have those 90's style bands playing and everyone could just chill out have a few drinks and some food and dance without getting all crazy.

Nah 'cause, I'm not a club person. And although the Bronze seems a little different to the clubs around here, I bet as soon as it appeared it would become one of them. I don't do well with large crowds of people who can't hear each other talk because the music is so loud, getting drinks spilled over me or actually being unable to move because there's so many people. So no, not a club person.

Look at me I'm a grumpy grandma at the age of 20 😛

But I do wish there were some place really close I could hang out with my friends. Somewhere I could just walk to other than our houses. We did have a pub along the village we would go to but it's recently been taken over by some chain restaurant group and became a little naff.

Yeah! I totally agree! We have something like a Bronze. Just that there is no place for dancing. I wish there would be some because my friends and I use to visit the pub at least once a week! We sit there and drink some drinks, the music is loud... but no place to dance. That's sad!

Even though I'm not a dancer, there should ALWAYS be a place to dance when live music is involved! (O
I actually had something like that. There's a pub in my hometown where my friends and I used to go. We could get served despite being underage and the music was great. Was a really chilled place and even did pub quizzes. It's still my favourite place to go whenever I'm home.
 
I agree with [MENTION=11533]Sullivan[/MENTION], the underage drinking would annoy me too (now I'm of legal age, that is 😛 before then it suited me just fine). Plus, I don't think The Bronze is realistic, a nightclub where people bring their homework? Hmm...

I'll stick to my normal nights out thanks!

My town being of the college veriety has a few places like that aptly named "The Opolis" and "The Deli" no vamps though... and they can never talk Amiee Mann into playing at either... but I'm all about the local bands so it's good


and yes the deli is an ironic name...no foods... unless you eat large amounts of domestic beer


I don't usualy hang out in bars... so its nice to have a dance friendly alternative
 
I totally wish my town had a bronze. It seems like the absolutely perfect place to be with friends, hear good music....chill if you want, just sit on a couch...dance if you want.... perfect!!!!
 
Oh we need a bronze in the UK! Im not into clubbing and stuff but it would be nice to have a place to go and listen to some great bands, play some pool, have some food (and desert) and have a good dance. =D

We have loads of places like that!
Honestly I'm lucky enough to live in a city, (well ok, the city) with a wide variety of hangouts; really there's something for everyone. But there aren't a lot of places where you can talk and dance and listen to good bands and relax in the corner on a comfy couch all at once. If you go somewhere to dance, it's too loud to hear your friends. If you go somewhere for the quality of the food and drinks there isn't room to dance. If you go somewhere for the quality of the bands there probably isn't much room to dance and the drinks are probably awful.
So yeah, the Bronze is a pretty special place! Oh, especially if you're underage!
 
I think that is Tv magic more than anything... what ever happened to the bar Xander worked at in Beer Bad? Or the club from Sleeper?

I would like it if the music played in the bars in my town were as good as the ones in the Bronze, but otherwise nah. I'm not a club/bar going type of guy. Too loud for me.

Ever notice where the Bronze was in Sunnydale? It looked like it was in the back of an ally towards the edge of the town. In real life there would be cops there every weekend O,.....,O
 
I don't know it kind of did look like the same back ally by the police station Buffy beat the crap out of Spike in on Dead Things... but my disbelief remains suspended and I try not to think about the actually layout of Sunnydale (cuz apparently everything is within walking distance?)... there are beasties and whatnot to worry about 😛
 
I'm more of a stay-at-home or go-Yellowstone gal. I like either the outdoors or my house - and not many places in between. 😀 I don't really like eating out or going to clubs. (And no, I've never been to Yellowstone, but I'd really like to!)
