Physics + Skating

I like how Casey applied physics to figure skating. It's a bit of a plot gimmick, but a nifty one, and it works well with the story. I also appreciated that Hayden's character wasn't bitchy throughout the film, as so many female antagonists are in films aimed at teenage girls (Mean Girls, The Princess Diaries, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, etc).

I never thought of that, but you're right. Nice to not put a Queen Bitch up on a pedestal for young girls to emulate.

I liked this movie *goes a deep red from embarasment.* I'm not sure why I did, I gues I'm just a sucker for these sweet, family, girly movies.

Although I love Mean Girls, I have to agree the main character was a total bitch, but that isn't always a bad thing. She took it to far, but most of the time I look at the term bitch as to a good thing. The only time I have ever been called a bitch is if I'm standing up for myself and not letting people take advantage. So I take it to mean that I'm strong and that I am not afriad to stand up for what I believe. I am taking that word back damnit! 😀

Don't feel bad - I kinda like it too. I've always loved ice skating and it is a good story for young girls. I can't help but laugh at the jumping shrimp though.

When i saw Michelle Trachtenberg and Kim Catrall were in it i just had to see it. Also i love ice skating so for me it was just love at first sight lol

I don't feel to bad about it. Girly movies are some of my favorites. Horror movies and chick movies/girly movies are my two favorite kinds of movies. Drama and suspense are good to, but movies that are all action no story I can't stand!

I just saw this movie recently on the Disney Channel. My oldest was like "Mom, I didn't know Dawn could ice skate!" LOL It wasn't bad... It's not the best but she could have done worse, honestly. 🙂

Like Willowsgirl, even though it's a girly movie I still like it. But my favorite movies that I watch alot are horror movies, I just rented "The Blair Witch Project!"
