Since the polls are closed and we're just waiting on the winners banners, welcome, one and all, to Round Three of the Icon Contest!

Remember, the rules have been changed for this round. ALL entries must be PM'D TO ME, and not posted ANYWHERE ELSE until the polls close in three weeks time. This is an anonymous contest now.

Remember, unless otherwise stated, please use Screencaps ONLY for the icon themes. Artists Choice is exactly that, your choice, and Promos are allowed.

The Closing Date is April 3rd!

And now that the house keeping is over with, here are you themes.

Faceless

You must produce five icons that have been cropped in such a way that their faces are not visible.

Examples:

Outside

You must produce five icons featuring characters outside.

Examples:

Single Image

You must use one single image to produce five differently cropped icons. Each icon must be a different crop from the same image. Different colorings will not be allowed. Promo Images ARE ALLOWED for this theme.

buffy1-1.png



Kean's Choice - The Hyperion

You must produce five icons based on The Hyperion Hotel. Characters CAN be featured in the icons, but the focus must be the hotel.

Artist's Choice

The title says it all. Produce five icons of your own choosing.

Just one quick question: For the Single Image category, the part about "different colorings will not be allowed..." I was just wondering what method of "coloring" that includes. I was only confused because some of the examples provided seem to be different in their brightness and hues. Thanks!

For the single image, you CAN color each crop differently. What I meant was, you can't just crop the icon once and color it five different ways. Each icon has to be a different crop.

Yay, fun! I like these challenges. Hopefully, I'm not too busy and I can get this done without having to rush!

Love the categories..I can't wait to get to work as soon as I have the time..!I think I'm gonna have trouble with the hyperion..I don't watch Angel much...was it in season 2? Can't remember well...I'm gonna research.

Season 2, 3 & 4.
I just got started on finding images to use and I tell you what - this is the hardest round of the lot so far! I'm still enjoying it though! I love a good challenge.

As I said in my opening post, Artist's Choice is exactly that. Whatever the artist chooses.

I already started working on mine, and that's so much fun!

I have a question that's gonna sound kinda stupid but, in the faceless catagory, you say they need to be cropped so that no faces are show, but in the examples you use shots when people are looking away. Can we do it both ways?

I know, sorry, dumb question. 😛

As long as you can't see the face of the character you can do whatever you want. 🙂

Textures and text are all perfectly okay, unless otherwise stated.
 
I sent you mine and set that album on my Photobucket to private (because by this point anybody could find my icons and it might count as "posted elsewhere"), so if that messes with your ability to see my icons in your PM, let me know and I'll figure something else out. 🙂

I doubt it counts, since we all have to upload the icons to some sort of site.
