ideal BtVS spinoff

If there were to be another Buffy spinoff, based on one of the characters on Buffy (not Angel) who would you most like it to be centered around? This is just an "if it were up to you" type question, assuming all actors were willing, what would you choose?

I thought of this poll after reading the following post on a forum for Birds Of Prey.

Okay, so Buffy is bitten by a vampire but her friends think she's dead and gone. Because last time they pulled her from heaven, they let her stay dead this time. We see the gang in daylight, standing around her grave, mourning. Then they dissolve and we realize it's become night. It focuses in on Buffy's headstone and suddenly a hand pops out. Next thing is we see Buffy get herself out of the grave, vamo face and all and she licks her teeth with her tongue with a wicked smirk on her face and then the end, it's over, fini.

THE SPIN-OFF
Okay, you know how The Twilight Zone has one host but different stories each and every week? Well what if one of the slayers from the upcoming Slayers in training episode came back and basically all season takes place during one day and night of this girl training by reading the Watcher's Diaries. So, basically all every episode is the story of a previous slayer. One week a slayer from 1857 and then the next week from 976 BC. It'd be the Slayer Chronicles or something. They have a book comprised of short stories all based on past slayers, it's where I got the idea 🙂

I said Willow, but now that I think about it, I don't know why. Probably because I think she still has Watcher Material, and she's an interesting character. It'd be interesting to see her train and work with various slayers.
 
I'm hoping for either Willow or Faith, but then I thought it absolutely should be Willow. Why the heck should she have to stay as the sidekick anymore? It's about time Willow got an upgrade to the main character.
 
Hell yeah, this was pretty obvious for me! ... Willow, 2nd place for Faith, or maybe she could taggle on with Will and become her love interest!

Reason:
At least this would give the writers to explore a different side to the whole story arch. Vampire and demons are slain by Angel and Co. and Willow can take care of baddies with magic. Spike can bring in the muscle if and when needed, Dawn assists with that too and Giles can be back in some eps to give guidance. Connect the group with that powerful covent in Devon and you have a pretty interesting crew. Not to forget Xander as Willows anchor in case she gets carried away again.......
 
I voted for Spike after much deliberation. Willow was a close second. Not having seen all of seson six yet, I have no idea what happens an all, but I think Spike would make a superb central character. A show of Willows adventure would be equally as fascinating though. However, I don't think any more spin offs should be made with the current characters...seems a bit too much like cashing in on the success IMHO.
 
Well they're allready planning "Ripper" for next year, so I think they'll wait a while before making another spin-off!
 
Ah yes, i'd forgotten about that...guess we'll have to wait and see what thats like then 🙂 Does anyone have any info on where/when "Ripper" will be set?
 
I agree with my sis. Faith or Willow. I would prefer Willow though! She deserves some time in the spot light of a not evil variety.

Has anyone noticed how she hasn't been in very much of each episode so far this season? Am I just imaging things?

You haven't been imagining a thing! I've noticed it too, and it's a real pooper. Yes, that is the best word I can come up with; pooper.😛
 
I voted for willow. It would be cool if the council would come to her and say that they have been keeping an eye on her with the whole struggle with magic and that she becomes the new watcher 😀😀😀

*gets suddenly loads of ideas for fanfics*

It will be set in Britain, and will be more of a classic ghost-stories series, for a somewhat more aged people. I don't know about you, but I'll be watching it!

On the Willow-thing: she had a big story line the previous season, there was a lot of focussing around her, that's probabl why they decrased her role this season!
 
I think that there would be far more story possibilities with Willow, but I would still want Spike in there to spice things up.
 
I voted Willow, I don't really know why but she seems the one with the most possibilities! Actually Oz would be a good one, kinda like teen wolf!!😀

I used to think a Spike & Dru show would be great but that's kinda gone out the window now due to Spike being a great big wuss now!!

Faith, would be pretty similar to BTVS & I'm not really sure about that, she's always been a loner so I don't think it would work so well.

I'm definitely going to be watching Ripper if it ever gets made!! I love ASH!!

I don't really want any more spin offs to be honest though. Angel is still going strong and Ripper will be interesting, I think 3 spin offs woulf be overkill & one of them is likely to fail (& I don't want Joss to fail!). I think Willow moving to Angel Investigations would be good with possible guest appearances by other cast members. I know it's terrible as I love Xander heaps but I don't really see a future with his character after Buffy ends. I hope Buffy doesn't get turned into a vamp, I hope there is just a happy ending - sucker for happy endings me😉 To hell with being a creative genius!!
 
I'm thinkin either Willow or Faith are the best chances for a good spinoff....but if they picked Faith, they would have to make major changes from buffy cause it would just be like having buffy back on the air....and thats kinda pointless...
