If Anya hand't died....

I ship Xanya (also love Cander, but not a shipper of them), and I've always wanted them to be together in the end and maybe get married. And when they seemed to get back together in "Touched", and after many talks about them and their feelings, I was very happy. Then... Anya got killed. And I can't not wonder what if she hadn't. What if she made it.

Do you think they would have gotten back together?

I very well hope they would have. I loved them together and I think they were perfect for each other. DAMN that demon that made Xander see that false future! I think they would have gotten back together eventually... In my head Anya didn't die and they are together 😀

Maybe eventually, but I think Anya still had to figure out some things for herself before she went back to Xander. Otherwise she'd risk being too reliant on Xander again, IMO. After giving up her demon ways, I think she literally has to become her own person first. I think she was on her way to do this, and that her death in Chosen was a really good end to that story, but if she hadn't died, I'd say she'd still have a bit of work to do.

I think they would have eventually got together again, it's destiny with those two! Anya's death was completely shocking and the viewers didn't really have time to react, which maybe is a good thing? Anya was always very swift and precise with her thoughts and decisions, I guess her death matched that! But oh man, I would have loved to have seen Anya survive the battle so her and Xander could sort things out properly. I'm sure they would have :3

I know we were supposed to feel completion, after Xander and Anya's last intimate scene. They were supposedly over it, so we had to be as well. However, I don't think Xander and Anya could ever really be over. There is something so powerful about the relationship, it's actually more powerful in my mind than Bangel ever was. I think the writers should have made more of an emphasis on them, to give their relationship the meaning, care, and love it deserved. Sadly, I think most were a little preoccupied with Spuffy.
Season 8 Xander doesn't exist to me. Don't get me wrong, I like the storyline. It's just that Xander would never move on so quickly to just some techy new slayer, and then when she dies not reflect on Anya's demise. I mean even Willow felt guilty about trying to move on. How could Xander not?

If Anya hadn't died, they probably would have worked everything out later and have gotten back together, after Anya figured everything out before, and then maybe they would truly marry a few years later when they knew they could rely on each other equally and never leave one another this time.

Anya would have gave me a good feeling if she survived and was in Season Eight. I think it just felt a bit empty to me. I mean Anya was always one of my favorites, and not seeing her there was like trying to sit through Willow kissing Kennedy in Season Seven and not Tara.

Anya and Xander were made for each other, they would have really gotten back together soon.

I know, and I HATED the fact that the writers wanted the fans to be over it. There was still something very powerful between them when Anya died, and it sucks that we won't get to see that love blossom again. Ah well, fingers crossed for Anya's return, eh?

It's been a year and a half since Anya died. I don't see why this should be held against Xander. And it seems that Xander went to Dracula because he was grieving Anya.

I know it sucks and I'd have loved seeing Xander grieve Anya. I remember when Joss was asked about Anya, he said that it's been years since the show ended and the fans have moved on, so Xander should, too. Guess he doesn't know the fans as well as he thinks he does. 😛

I think they would have gotten back together, Anya and Xander were made for each other and i always thought they would get back together which is why i was gutted when Anya was killed 🙁

I don't think so. Anya and Xander both alluded to the fact that (after the last time they had sex) that they were pretty much done now? I think they would have stayed very close friends, but I think the relationship was done.
