If BB was a city...

In the VH lounge, I was talking with Tabby (LoveLoveLovix) and we both confessed we like to think of BB as a city... I described what I thought of the subforums being... what kind of places in the city. This is what I came up with:

I see the dorms as college dorms (a school as it's described), I see the Back Steps as a park, Close Your Eyes as a coffee shop, the Battle ship section as a movie theater ('cause it's so full of drama!), the other big sub sections (like the Buffy section, the Angel section, the cast and characters sections) as malls and/or shopping centers or department stores, The Bronze as a hangout/all ages club (I know, just as it's described), and Joyce's Gallery as an art museum (I know, also not very original, but sue me haha) I would say the welcome sections at the top of the forum would be the city hall/downtown government places... and the cemetery is the one described as a place I don't actually think of as that place. I think of it as a history museum... same with Another Dimension (which would be to me like the history section of the library of the school)

It got me wondering what other people think... if BB was a city, what would each subforum be?

Drogyn would be the slightly seedy pub in the nightclub district. The one that always smelt a little bit like vomit and sweaty feet. The one that you go to, get really drunk and dance to bad top 40 songs with members of the opposite sex. The one that you love, but you also kind of hate. Yeah, that's what Drogyn would be.

The Vent thread would be a boxing ring. Somewhere to hit a boxing bag until all the frustration was out.

I think of the game forum as a casino without gambling...

VH is a castle... a big, honking castle but filled with a mix of weird stuff and posh stylings, and verrrry strange people inside. Think about Dr Frank N. Furter's mansion from RHPS, and you catch the drift. 😎

I guess I should mention that I love that particular club. They have bad cover bands, and cheap alcohol and I just adore it!

We all know that VH is like grandmas house. Really nice to visit, lots of compliments, and smelling like mothballs 😛 Also, never good booze, just cooking sherry.

I see Vahla Hanesh as a coffee shop. Not a Starbucks, but one of those quirky combination books, coffee and ice cream stores. Where everyone knows about each other and argues randomly and stuff. XD

The Check In and Bag Eggs forum are like the curbside where you beg for money or knowledge or attention. XD

The discussion forums are all classes in a big school.

The Bronze is totally The Bronze.

The Fanfic forum is like a newspaper office, as is the fanwritten article board.

The art forum is a very good art museum.

I see the games forum as a Chuck E. Cheeses but that's just me. XD

And the cemetery is just that.

Cant rep you again but LMAO. It was fun when grandma was young and hip but then she got old. You might find her having a fun night on pills every now and again though 😉

I'm going to say this about VH. We seem like nice put together polite people, but we're insane. You know the whole "it's the sane ones you gotta watch out for" thing? yeah, that's us. If I had to pick a place I think describes VH... I guess I would say one of those cute stores you pass every day but never go in 'cause you think it's just cutesy little knick-knacks and trinkets and stuff... and one day you need a gift for an acquaintance at work or something so you go in only to find it's full of Spencer's Gifts type stuff. Yeah...

Oh! That's so totally us. Great comparison. Of course, Merrick is much nicer than the actual Playboy Mansion because we have that big honkin' castle. (Now I want a trampoline on the front lawn). Of course, we also have our spooky side, what with the dungeon and the random beheadings. So we're a cross between the Playboy Mansion and a haunted castle. Possibly situated on the Cliffs of Insanity.
