I'm a little confused, I've been watching season 5 recently and I couldn't make sense of it? At the end when Giles suffocating Ben and I;m assuming he died, did that mean Glory died too?

Think of Glory as a fetus (sp?) living off the body of Ben. When Ben kicks the bucket so does Glory. They were not a seperate entity so one dies (well just Ben as Glory is pretty hard to kill) then so does the other.

Ben was virtually Glory's only weakness and it was only because of her banishment to the mortal plane of existence.

Well that and bad fashion sense...

I think he would cease to exist, unless Glory he cut the deal with Glory. I'm sure if she was an all-powerful God once again, she could finagle(sp?) something.

Ah! Ok, right, so last questions, So did Ben exsist as his own person BEFORE Glory?

And Why we he chosen to "be" her? Didn't he call her sister?

I think Ben existed before they put Glory in him, or am I wrong? He probably called her sister because of the fact that they were kind of the same person... Do you mean why they choose to put Glory in him or why did HE choose to have Glory in him? Cause he didn't choose, as far as I know.

I don't know if he did or not. But I do think he would still exist if Glory had gone "home". Sort of like Dawn, she didn't exist earlier but she became human for real. I think Ben was the same (either if he was human before Glory started "using his body" or not).

I can remember reading (or hearing, might of been the DVD season overview) that Dawn and Ben are similar, they were created and something else. Bad memory.

I think I remember something in season 5 saying that when Glory was banished, she was inserted(?) into a random human child so he did exist before.

Ah, I didn't really mean that they are similar. Just saying that since Dawn was still human after being activated as the key.. maybe it works the same way (sort of) with Ben.. But if you've heard that it must be true.. eh.

I remember reading something similar to what MP remembers, that she was put in a random human child in order to prevent her to come back but finally, she got so strong that she managed to break through.

I guess that if Ben managed to get rid of Glory, he would continue living as a human.

Yeah.. I think it was when they held that knight guy captive and he told them the story of Glorificus.

I thought Ben couldn't get rid of Glory because she became a part of him, like his heart (or soemthing).

I remember Ben saying in Listening to Fear that he has been covering for Glory his whole life. Blooper?

And yeah, it was said that they're two entities sharing one body, so as mentioned before with the fetus metaphor (a very good metaphor), when one dies, so would the other. I think that they need each other in order to live.

Now that I think about it, it makes perfectly sense that Ben dies if Glory goes/dies/whatever. Cause when Giles was shoking Ben, he might aswell be shoking Glory and she died and he died.

Yeah, if Glory dies so does Ben, but if she leaves the earth..? I don't think that's the same. But if she did go "home" she would bring the body, right..? So probably Ben would cease to exist, since Glory would have to be in the body when she left the earth..

So Ben wouldn't of gone with her if she had got the portal open? He would of died?
Sure he would have gone with her.. sort of.. but in her "home" she doesn't really need a body does she..? So what would happen to Ben?

That's an interesting question I haven't rally given much thought.
But I'm thinking that Glory doesn't need a body as in the kind of bone and flesh body that we use to exist. So if Glory went "home" she would just be a godess and poor ole Ben would die. I kinda like the idea of them being that dependent of each other.

You have a point there, Cordelia. But maybe when Glory was trying to make a deal with Ben, she was fibbing? I mean, she was willing to do anything to get back "home"...and Ben could have been naive enough to beleive her. *shrug* just thinkin'...
