It maybe would of been a repeat to what happened on "Chosen" but I still think it would of been nice to see.

Buffy should stay away from the last episode Angel.
Angel established itself as it's own show, with its own characters and mythology, it doesn't need any connections to Buffy on its last episode. The last episode should be about the Fang Gang (and it was!)

Not really. Buffy had already been brought to "closure" as such,and the gang as a whole had the last episode together. Same should be said for Angel, it had established it's self as an individual show with only minor interactions to Buffy. Think it would have been throwing some of that away if they brought in different characters for the final.

I thought of it as one big world so I wouldn't have minded if people crossed over. I would of liked to have seen that.
Spike and Angel spent a lot of time talking about her and even had an episode dedicated to tracking her down. So it was already established that Buffy fits into Angel as a show.

No freaking way. We didn't need Buffy taking over Angel's show, especially not in his final episode. Buffy would have made it all about her, taking valuable time away from the more important cast members. I'd rather spend Angel's final hour with Wesley, Illyria, Gunn, Lorne, Spike, and Lindsey than have someone from a different show hog all of the spotlight. I'd have been pissed if after spending years with these characters they were tossed aside like trash for the sake of Buffy.

I've watched the Fang Gang for 5 seasons, I was emotionally invested in their struggle, Buffy never helped them fight Wolfram and Hart, she never helped them fight the Beast. I would enjoy seeing her come back sometime in season 5...but the last episode? Hell no.

Sometimes I find it hard to believe how when there is an "apocalypse" Angel/or Buffy can't help save the world since it's not their show lol.
Maybe I don't remember Connor's role well in the last ep..but I remember it being brief. So if Buffy did whatever he did and then left right away it could of worked out. Angel did the same thing in the last episode of Buffy.

The difference is Joss stopped caring in season 7 and just wanted to please Bangel fans.

The show not mixing a lot was a good thing. It allowed Angel to stand on it's own separate from Buffy. Besides, Angel regresses every time he is around Buffy and no one needs to see that.

I wasn't talking about her being in the whole episode. I only meant the where Connor helps Angel in his fight. That was all.

I think that Angel and Connor having that final scene, joining together to defeat Hamilton, because it was sort of a final bonding of father and son. It showed them actually together, in what quite likely was the last time that we would ever see them, and Angel's final statement, about how, as long as Connor was alive, W&H couldn't possibly end, was like acknowledging the final stage of Connor's own redemption. At last, we got to see him standing beside his father, simply because Angel WAS his father.
That's not to say that having a group of Slayers show up, just before Angel says, "Let's go to work," couldn't have been great, but I think that it would have been more effective if it had been Faith leading them than Buffy.
Bringing Buffy in at that moment would have taken at least some of the focus off of Angel and his Big Moment, which was the real point of the episode. Angel was brought back to Sunnydale, I believe, for the simple purpose of reminding the viewers that there actually was no real closure of the Angel/Buffy/Spike issue. It was important there, but a year later, on Angel's own show, it really didn't matter anymore.
That final scene had to be about the mission, but it was about ANGEL'S mission, his Big Moment, the place that he had been working so hard to reach for the last 5 years. It was his big moment of glory, and there shouldn't be any doubt that he, and his friends, won the day, no deus ex machina needed or wanted. (And that, by the way, is why I've always found Joss' solution to that final battle so dissatisfying. It should have been Angel's moment of glory, not simply a last minute bail out with no real explanation)

I see what you mean. A lot of the show was about Angel doing good deeds to make up for his past, and ultimately be rewarded with humanity. (Prophecy) As for the explanation, the final battle settled with the message...evil will always be there. [The fight would never end]

I should have clarified here. While I didn't like the cliffhanger ending of "Not Fade Away," I could eventually come to accept it. (Plus, I had a good time working out my own solution to their predicament, which I still prefer to Joss' version) The bail out to which I was referring was the explanation given at the beginning of IDW's "Not Fade Away" arc as to how they managed to survive the battle.
I think "Not fade away" is perfect as it is, ( I love the ending) but I do agree, I think this could have been nice to see as well. 🙂
