If Cordelia stayed on Buffy

Uh, that's what I hate. Just a High School relathionship? Do you know how many people I know, who are now married, and were just s "High School relathionship"? I mean that's stupid. Why is impossible for people to find each other when they are 16,17 years old. It's all about how people love each other, I mean come on you can meet your soulmate when you are 7, 17 or 27. It doesn't matter. You know I like Xander and Anya, I liked Xander and Cordy and it would be a tough choice if in this moment someone ask me with who he should be. Maybe people didn't saw he loved Cordy because he acted like a High School boy who was obsessed with protecting Buffy, and with Anya he grew up. But even that kind of boys are capable of loving.

I did mean that. Most people I know who're married met in school, too, all I meant is even then it wasn't a real relationship, well, not in my eyes. I don't think they loved each other. I meant it only lasted in high school.

I know that. I'm just saying, he loved Anya. In my eyes, he never loved anyone but Anya. I'm not saying he was too young and immature to be in love with Cordy, I'm just saying I don't think he was in love with her.

I think he loved Anya.. well little more. But I belive he loved Cordy too. And if she stayed I think their love would develop. But I'm glad he was with Anya, and I love Anya as character 🙂

Oh I know what you mean.. Before, I didn't belived Buffy loved anyone but Angel.. but know I admit that she felt.. but just felt 😀 something about Spike..

If Cordy HAD stayed, I imagine her being sired, since it's the quickest way to change her. Then she and Spike could date. 😀

Orr... She could stay human, develop into a really strong woman like she did on Angel, get Spike to love her, then in S5 they date... I dunno, I've just always wanted Spordelia. 😀
 
If Cordy had stayed she would have been miserable. She would have gone to UC Sunnydale, and also gotten some menial job to get by (such as waitress or coffee girl).

I think maybe one possible character arc is taking Maggie Walsh's psychology class with Buffy and Willow. It could have been a life changing experience for her, where she decides she wants to learn to get into people's heads to screw with them. But gradually she begins to analyze herself and her problems, and starts on the slow path to reform and redemption.

By season 7 she is in her senior year of college (unlike the rest of the scoobies she remained in college). She is training to become a counselor and does an internship in the newly built Sunnydale highschool. If she has to get pregant, maybe it's Principle Wood that gets her pregnant ...
 
Cordelia was far too ambitious to stay in Sunnydale. She had dreams of making it big as an actress and later helping run a successful business saving lives in Los Angeles. If Cordy had gone to UC Sunnydale instead, I think her character would've been depressed, working another lame job trying to pay her way through college and not really feeling needed since Buffy and the other Scoobies seem to have the town covered. LA suits Cordy more than Anya or Harmony. I don't think staying with the Scoobies would've made her as strong and humble as she became with Angel and Wesley.

This may sound stupid, but I think that had she stayed on Buffy, she may have became a reality element for BTVS and actually maybe having a relationship with Xander. I imagine that if she never left BTVS, that her and Xander would've gotten together mid season 4 and then got married mid season 6. They could've also made it so that Xander got her pregnant in season 7. It could've also been possible then for Xander and Cordy to go to Angel Season 5 together, hm. Dreaming. xD

Thank you very much! I like to think about these things sometimes, like what if Fred came to Buffy instead of Angel? Gwen? Etc.
She would probably be a part of the Scoobies and I also think that she would've ended up with Xander..
But I just think it would be a shame, because Anya and Xander were such a cute couple 🙂

Honestly - I don't know what her role would have been if she remained on Buffy. She would have still been stuck in Sunnydale post high school and without college ambitions, she didn't have much going on. She'd be working full time and living with her parents - could get depressing. She probably wouldn't have evolved as a character as much without leaving Sunnydale.

That said - my idea: she meets Harmony mid-Season 4 who turns her. Harmony and vamp Cordelia start their own clique of vampire chicks who become a Big Bad as a team at some point, with Cordelia in charge.

I wish there was more interaction between Cordy and everyone else after she left like the call to Willow in Disharmony. Because apparently they kept in touch behind scenes cause in S8 Buffy knows she died.
 
That'd be interesting if she didn't leave Sunnydale. She'd probably go to University like Willow & Buffy did. Although, I could totally see love triangle thing going between Xander/Anya/Cordelia if Cordelia stayed.

Umm...Cordelia obviously couldn't call Buffy and tell her that she died? Or am I reading your post wrong rofl
 
i'm guessing Buffyrocks56 means that in season 8, Buffy knew about Cordelia's death...

Yeah but I mean, it's obvious that Angel would've told her. Cordy and Buffy knew each for 3 years and Willow and Cordy kept contact until atleast S5, but Angel may not have told her til like 6 months after she died, that doesn't show complete closeness

I just don't see that happening. I never thought that Xander was Cordelia's style. Hell, he loved Willow more than he loved her.
 
Probably would have seen a wash rinse repeat format of hating the scoobies and then being one of them again. I loved Cordy on Angel, I never would have imagined she would evolve so much as a character. Indeed, I'd say S2 and S3 Cordy in Angel was probably my favourite female in the entire universe (yes more than Buffy).
 
With Anya and Spike, that would be a trifecta of snark. Not that I'd be complaining...
 
I absolutely think Cordy would have evolved on Buffy, but not the way she did on Angel. On Angel, she got the chance to be a main asset to the whole fighting evil stuff, on Buffy she was just kind of there. I think it was a smart move sending her over to Buffy, and we got some great Cordy storylines that way.
