A major part of Cordy's Development through out Angel the series was her receiving the "Visions" from Doyle in "hero". So my question is simple, would we know the amazingly progressed character of Cordy today if Doyle had stayed and if she never had gotten those visions. If so,how do you think they would've went about progressing her character? Also do you think she could have gotten the visions without Doyle dying? And if that happened, what would they have done with Doyle's character arc for the rest of the Angel series? Interested in reading your thoughts 🙂😎

I think it was possible for Doyle to pass Cordelia his powers whilst being alive? I wish that happened because I loved Doyle, but I also loved Cordelia's growth too so I wouldn't want to tamper with that. (But you can tamper with season 4, that is allowed.~~~)

I still think Cordelia would have grown and matured a lot, but she'd probably be less empathetic.

The actor who played Doyle (RIP) wouldn't have been in the entire series anyway. But if it was possible there was plenty to do with his character. Doyle had a past that was visited (albeit rushed) that didn't involve his visions. So plenty of story arcs could have been created from his origin

Well, later when Cordy wants to, ahem, "comshuck" with Groo, we find out that the visions will be passed in that act. So if Doyle & Cordy had gotten together, perhaps Doyle would've passed his visions to Cordy anyway. And maybe if they kept on keepin' on, she would have passed them back, and so on and so forth! Hahahaha!

But seriously, I have no clue.

But maybe, if he'd been kept on the show, he wouldn't have died. There's a lot of speculation about why Glenn's character was killed off so early on (some say he was fired because of his drug use, others say that killing Doyle off in that ep was the plan from the beginning) but maybe if he'd been kept on, his drug use wouldn't have gotten so bad and the show might have saved him. He might be alive right now.

Not that I'm saying that the show was responsible for Glenn's death, just that if he had a steady job, maybe he would have been okay.

I would have liked to have seen Doyle as a Big Bad, it's one of the things that I'll always regret not seeing in S4. (Originally, before his death, Glenn was supposed to return as part of Cordelia's team) and he might have made a nice addition to S5, if he was redeemed along with Cordelia.

We will never know what happened with Glenn Quinn, but from what I read I think her, it was a case of Mobbing.
