If I could have just one wish, I would wish that my memory of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel could be erased. Not because I don't like it. If you know me, or just follow my blog you know, I adore it. No, I would want the memories of the shows erased, so I can feel the feelings and emotions that I felt when I watched them for the first time. I'm also not saying that I don't get joy out of watching the shows even though I've already seen them. Nothing brings me greater joy than watching Buffy and Angel. It's really hard to explain, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels what I'm feeling. I would give anything to start the shows over, having no clue of what's about to happen.

With that being said, every single time I watch certain episodes (ex. "˜Seeing Red' for Buffy, and "˜You're Welcome' for Angel), my heart shatters into one million pieces even though I know exactly what is about to happen and when it's going to happen.

I'm also going to add, even though I've said it endless amounts of times before, that I adore these two shows more than a lot of things. They bring me to a place where I'm so happy that I never want to leave. They've really helped me through so much, and I couldn't thank Joss Whedon enough for them.

Someone please tell me that they feel the same way.😀

I feel the same, don't worry. One of my favorite thing in the world is when I watch a really good movie/show for the first time. That feeling of seeing something amazing that literally changes (or at least influences) your life is amazing. It might be just movies or shows, but it's still one of the smallest, yet most amazing feeling in the world. Plus, it only rarely happens, at least for me; so far I've only had 2 shows have that effect on me, and I maybe 1 or 2 movies a year will give me this feeling. A re-watch is always fun, but nothing ever beats the first time you see something.

Thank You!!!
I totally get where you're coming from. I've not finished watching Angel S5, simply because I want to have a little bit of the Buffyverse that I've not seen. Weird, I know, but I'll treat myself with it one day 🙂

And yeah, the shows have helped me through a lot too and I can relate to them in so many ways, especially at the moment.

I often tell people that I wish I could get amnesia that affects my memory of Buffy and Angel so I could watch it again without knowing what will happen and experience it all again. Make me remember the exact things which made me love these shows much more than any others.
You're definately not alone in wishing this; I think it all the time🙂

Just wait till you're my age, and you'll get that wish fulfilled on a regular basis. I can watch episodes of "Castle" from the beginning of this last season, and it's still a surprise at the end.

I really have a lousy memory and I watch too much tv so I have a tendency to forget or mix things up all the time. Some shows though that I've rewatched quite a few times I seem to remember most of the important things anyways. Buffy belong to those. Luckily for me, great shows have lots of great less important things too. So I always find myself thinking/saying "Oh, I forgot about that." while smiling.

HOLLY: I'm at a loose end now. I've read every book that's ever been written. I don't know what to do with meself.
LISTER: Holly, why don't you just read everything all over again?
HOLLY: Would you mind erasing some of my memory banks?
LISTER: What for?
HOLLY: Well, if you erase all the Agatha Christie novels from my memory bank, I can read 'em again tonight.
LISTER: How do I do it?
HOLLY: Just type, "HolMem. Password override. The novels Christie, Agatha." Then press erase.

LISTER jabs two-fingered on a keyboard.

LISTER: I've done it.
HOLLY: Done what?
LISTER: Erased Agatha Christie.
HOLLY: Who's she, then?
LISTER: Holly, you just asked me to erase all Agatha Christie novels from your memory.
HOLLY: Why should I do that? I've never heard of her.
LISTER: You've never heard of her because I've just erased her from your smegging memory.
HOLLY: What'd you do that for?
LISTER: You asked me to!
HOLLY: When?
LISTER: Just now!
HOLLY: I don't remember this.
LISTER: Oh, I'm going to bed. This is gonna go on all night.

I thought this was just me! I've had the exact wish that I could forget what happens in all the Buffy and Angel episodes (and Firefly and Lost and The Walking Dead and so on and so on...), but not my love for them. I'd still remember that these shows are worth watching and I'd do so, but the experience would be fresh again.
