How do you think that Joss would have handled the situation if Sarah, not Charisma, had sprung a surprise pregnancy on him? It would have been much harder, if not downright impossible, to have either shot around or somehow written Sarah out of the last half of a season. what with her being the title character for the show.

Well if we're speaking about a surprise pregnancy around the same time Charisma had it that would have been horrible, unavoidable & down riight unexplainable because it was the final season of BTVS around that time

Maybe they would've tried to use camera magic? Because on HIMYM, Cobie Smulders and Alyson Hannigan got pregnant at one time or another on the show, and they fixed it by maybe the characters have some large object in front of them or sitting down or billowy clothes or upper body shots.

This is going to sound kind of cynical but he definitely appears that he has favorites. SMG is his golden child, I don't think he would've been mad at her.
mad at her. It would've changed the Storyline obviously but I vote for the long coats/sweaters to cover it up. I think they would have gone that route.

Lol, hm, nah I don't know. I mean it would've certainly been hard seeing as how it would have been tricky to get a pregnant Slayer to do fight scenes without the audience cringing.

Maybe it would have been a mystical pregnancy resulting in a Twilight universe... 😉

If SMG had shown up pregnant for Season 7 I can see some definite possibilities for some interesting plot twists. I could see this effecting not just BtVS but AtS as well. After all now you have not just two vampires with souls, but now both have kids. After all at that point there was only one real candidate for the father. Can you just see the little black duster and platinum blond hair?

Me neither but after all of these years I finally got why he exists. Angel went through the trails to get Darla second chance at life so she could live again but she was already alive at the time so the trial master couldn't re-grant her life. They felt they owed him so they gave Darla a second chance at life in the form of a son. its a stretch, but thats essentially how it happened
