If you could be part of either Buffy's Scooby Gang or Angel's Investigations..which would it be?
Even though I love the Scoobies, I don't see anyone breaking into that core without some serious damage... so Angel Investigations it is!
(and which season if it could only be one?)
I'd choose season 3. I know that Fred had a hard time getting used to being apart of the group, but I think that if there were two new girls, she might have somebody to relate to a bit more, somebody who was new, and didn't have such huge bazoomas.... I would like to make some appearances in the later seasons though, for reasons I'll state below.
What would be your name/nickname?
Jane (Because I like it and it's normal sounding).
What would you bring to the group?
So here's were it gets crazy. I'd be a sort of half-demon witchy thing. I'd be the person who was ok with the, shall we say, "morally gray," aspects of demon-hunting, which is the reason why I ended up parting with AI at the end of season 3. But while I was still apart of the gang, I'd be useful in that Wes could spend more time researching things less magical (since that would be up my alley), and Angel would have somebody else in his kick-a** squad. Plus, it couldn't hurt to have more demon-sense on your side! I'd have a moment at the end of season 3 in which the gang wouldn't be able to trust me so much anymore, so I'd leave, but make a few more appearances in the following seasons where I would make amends.
Also, I would come back in the season 5 finale and be the one who faces the sorcerer instead of Wesley so that he would end up living (though rather unhappily since Fred would still be dead). Afterward, he, Illyria, and I would go to England where he'd be my mentor, but really I would be there for support since he would be needing to get out of LA and recover from all the crap that went down. I'd argue with him at first about Illyria coming with us, but find her fists to be convincing arguments enough to give in eventually.
Shy? Outgoing?
I wouldn't be shy necessarily, but I wouldn't warm up to the group right away. Even when I am accepted into the group, I still manage to royally piss Angel off a few times with my cheekiness and aversion to following orders. Gunn would think I was just another crazy white girl, but that I was alright so long as I stayed out of his way in battle. Cordelia and I, I think it's fair to say, would not become close friends, but still appreciate one another for their talents. Fred and I would have a closer bond since I'm the type that always ends up treating my good friends like little sisters. I'd be a bit protective of her, but our relationship would come to a halt at the end of the season when she leads the gang in hunting me down from taking revenge on somebody who done me wrong.
Oh, and I have a feeling that Lorne and I would be pretty tight.
Superpowers?
As stated above, half-demon witchy thing. One of my parents was a demon, the other was human, and I was naturally torn by both worlds and couldn't figure out which one I belonged in. That's why I decided to seek out witchcraft at a fairly young age (which my demon parent encouraged). That was where I found my calling. I'm quite powerful, but if somebody were to mention Willow around season 5, I might flinch a bit.
Double Agent/Trader/Secret Villain?
Witch with baggage, or as Cordy would say, "childhood trauma." Definite damaged goods.
Any Love Interests? Origin?
I think that I would secretly admire Wesley, but not pursue anything since I'm not the type to chase anything that clearly has other interests. My tiny crush would burgeon into professional admiration as boring as that sounds. I think that it would be better if I didn't enter the romantic realm in this group, which is fine by me! I'm my own woman. Besides, I'd much rather share a tube of raw cookie dough with Fred while watching an old movie.
