If Kate hadn't left the show...

Remember Justine, the girl Holtz gets to help him hunt vampires? I believe that the plan was to use Kate in that storyline before she left for the one of the Law and Order shows (which I think she fits a lot better in -- I don't think she ever really worked as the Agent Mulder.)
 
I don't know if she would have ended up joining AI... I posted in this thread a long time ago, but after thinking more about it, I'm not sure that she could have ever let go of her distrust of vampires after what happened to her dad enough to allow Angel to lead her. And honestly, I hated Kate a lot towards the end of her time on the show, so I was glad she left.
