If Spike & Dru met David & Star...

While planning out how to spread out the "Halloween movies" this month, I finally decided to lump in Lost Boys with the 2 Buffy Halloween eps (s2 and 4, will skip 6), and got into the inevitable comparison/contrast between the movie and show, and how the movie likely inspired a lot in BTVS.

One question that someone else brought up that is teasing my mind...

What do you think would happen if David & Star (Star riding on David's bike) met Spike & Dru? Instant bond, or instant death battle?

Or have fun doing a short "scene" of it happening (or even after they've known each other awhile).

Would Dru have appreciated Star's behaviour? Doubtful, so Spike will do what he could to keep Dru contented, if that meant ending David as well as Star, so be it!

If we're talking Spike and Dru as a couple, that means it occurs before Spike's reformation in Season Five following the Initiative implant, and frankly, Drusilla has no such inhibitions. They'd regard David as an annoying whiney interloper and Star would probably be relieved to be staked if it meant ending her existence as a vampire. It'd be interesting to see how Spike and Dru would interact with the other Lost Boys vampires, though. The question is how long has it been since they were turned?

I’m not sure about bond, but Spike probably wouldn’t mind hanging out. Drusilla is too much like her ”daddy”, I think she’d just want to kill then for fun. But might go along with Spike as she is easily distracted.

Generally, vampires don’t seem to necessarily target each other, unless there is an obvious threat. They rather seem like social creatures who enjoy being able to spend time with similar creatures. So, yeah, I think they’d be able to hang for a night without a death battle, but doubt they’d form a serious bond.
