If that really was Angelus in "Enemies", would Buffy had staked him if he came back the second time?
 
I don't think so, not unless re-ensouling him could be done quickly. She might have, to protect her friends, who he would be after so they couldn't re-ensoul him.

Come to think of it, him not killing all his former friends and going to Sunnydale and doing the same to avoid getting re-ensouled doesn't make 100% sense. I know he was busy in LA, and probably thought he had time, but still.
 
Yes she would have. But I don't think she would be strong enough to withstand against Angelous, the major and Faith.
