If The First Evil can't be killed, what happened to it?

If The First Evil can't be killed what happened to it now that Sunnydale was destroyed?

Nothing as far as we know. I can't recall if it got more powerful after Buffy was brought back from the dead, disturbing the slayer line. In that case, it either a)is just as powerful or b)lost it's power because it needed the Hellmouth(could it use another). Or c)it's no better or worse off than before season 7. There's also alternative d)there is still a disturance in the slayer line, and it's trying to find a way to use that.

I think we can assume it's "alive" and fine, and out to destroy existance.

It was "scrunched"...whatever that means.

Haha I always just assumed that since it's plans were foiled, it gave up for the time being. When I really think about season 7's storyline, I realize how little of it makes sense.

Well he appears in season 8. So what did he do? I think he guarded the portal. There was a lot of magic and I think that's why he could survive so long.
