The characters would be a bit different personality wise (otherwise just get the old cast) but I would choose:

Spike- Tom Hiddleston
Drusilla- Natalie Dormer
Darla- Lara Pulver
Angel/Angelus- Tom Ellis
Joyce- Jodie Foster
Riley- Liam Hemsworth
Faith- Don't know

Ideally any "new" Buffy movie would be a continuation/reboot eg Bring back Xander, and his daughter (who he named Buffy after Buffy) turns out to be a slayer. That way you've got the older generation and the younger generation trying to keep secrets from each other (Buffy 2 doesn't want Xander knowing she's a slayer, Xander doesn't want Buffy 2 knowing he used to fight demons). Willow and Giles would make appearances whilst real Buffy would show up at the very end.

The other option is they do a CGI movie and bring back all the original actors to do the voices.

Buffy would still have to be an attractive blonde for me. I think that fits the stereotypical valley girl (so to speak) most, and I would keep it that way.

I think this thread is fun, but in all seriousness I hope it never happens. Why not give us something from the 'verse instead, the way Star Wars does? Don't remake the past, the past is already timeless; do a new show set in the same world and draw from the mythology; a new show idea would be best. It would be like redoing the original Star Wars movies to me: no point.
