If they had delayed Glory/killed Dawn/stopped the ritual some other way...

What would have happened next? Would Glory have eventually got stronger and taken over Ben's body full time? Or would she have faded away? Would Glory have exacted revenge on the slayer and her friends for stopping her from getting home? Would she have moved to LA and got a part on Angel and over the years developped as a character until she became good? 😛 You never know...

Good question because they did mention that the line between Ben and Glory was fading didn't they? I think Glory would always be a baddie though. I can't see someone as delightfully evil, and has fun being that way too, turn into a good guy. But some pretty strange things have happened in the Buffyverse so ya never know! But I actually like the idea of Glory on Angel, I think that would have made for an interesting arc 🙂

No. Glory is a god of torture, death and chaos. She can't change and become good because she has no free will.

I don't think she would have become a good guy in pretty much any scenario. They make a point in Angel S5 that Illyria (who I maintain would have wiped the floor with Glory) was unique, and she had that whole thing with Wes. I don't think Glory would have been anywhere close to that.

Killing Dawn wouldn't have been the right way to go. I know some people dislike her, but that would have been a horrible ending to S5 if Dawn had been killed off. Assuming however that Buffy and company had managed to prevent Glory's ritual in some fashion that didn't require her to die, I think they still would have defeated Glory.

I was always hoping for a big crossover event with Team Angel in L.A. to beat Glory. If the ritual had been stopped it would have been awesome to see Glory go totally off the deep end and the good guys needing an all out assault to beat her.
