If Vamp Willow stayed in Sunnydale would they invite her into the Scooby Gang? Since she's still Willow?

I don't see how. The thing is, she's not still Willow. She's an evil demon animating her old body. Am I missing something?

yet they kept Anya aka Anyanka and Angel aka Angeleus

I think it's safe to say AC doesn't the same about Angel or Spike. Buffy liked them though.
No,Faith would've staked her immediately 😛 but seriously,Giles would never allow a soulless vampire to go out in the open public unsupervised. Giles would have Willow dusted.

Unlike Angel which he did, quite often.
Interesting question. If no way had been found to send her back to her own world, and there were devised some sort of restraint like Spike's chip that would have prevented her from harming humans, I think that, maybe, they would have. I certainly don't think that Buffy would have wanted to stake her, and the only other way to keep her from killing would be to keep her under close control. Whether or not she would have ever more or less adjusted to the situation the way that Spike was able to do would be the real question. If she couldn't accept the life of a pigs' blood drinking, semi-tame former Big Bad the way that he did, I can't see there being any way to avoid staking her.

As for actually joining the gang officially, almost certainly not. Spike wasn't ever anything more than a partially trusted outsider, and I fail to see how Vamp Willow could have been treated any differently.

They sent her back to a version of this world. Also I wish they had, can't you just imagine the fun? And oh what benefit, the whole Katherine and Elena thing in Vampire Diaries would have had to be so much better.
How would they possibly invite her into the gang as you put it? She's not going to fight evil, she's evil. She would be trying to kill them every chance she got. Maybe they would have trouble dusting her (but they would get over that eventually) but let her into the gang?!? I don't think so. Without some major contrivance like a chip or a soul, she's done for. And even with a chip, she's not joining the gang. She obviously can't be trusted and like I said she'd try to kill them/undermine them at every turn. She's straight evil.

I don't mean to sound patronizing, I just don't see how it would be possible.

Actually Buffy was more than willing to stake vamp-Willow at the Bronze- it was Willow herself that stopped her.

If they could've have gotten Vamp-Willow back to her own time then somebody would've dusted her, either Buffy or Giles or Angel. It would've been too disturbing to have this twisted reflection of their friend hanging around.

I more interesting question is: If vamp-Willow was still around, and Willow was dead somehow, could they have ensouled vamp-Willow with 'their' Willow's soul?

That might've been entertaining to watch.

That does look good! I like that! It would be interesting to see how she and Spike would get along, too.

Buffy was able to kill Angel - no personal relationship could stop her. But it would only be if Willow was feeding.

I feel like if they could have done this, they would have. At least with someone they knew (Spike? Harmony?). They wouldn't have just sat on it and said, "Nope, that's only for Angel."

[I don't agree that Willow is the only one in the world with enough power, but it's a moot point.] No, I'm saying if Willow (or anyone else) could have done a spell to restore a soul, they would have done it long ago on some other vampire. So I don't think they could have put Willow's soul in Vamp!Willow's body.

I agree, but Willow is the only one in the world with the spell - if Tara had have been vamped then she would now be toting a soul.

Also, how many people die from mystical deaths, but Willow doesn't try to resurrect any of them - just because it's possible doesn't mean that she would.

On topic, no that's absurd, she's an evil vampire - and a powerful one at that, so keeping her alive would have been stupidly irresponsibile.

This would have been an interesting route to take, had the writers decided to go down that road.

What about Giles? I think it's well within the realm of possibility that he could have cast a Soul Restoration spell. The only thing is that it would have taken time. The Restoration spell Willow used on Angel was specifically written for him. So Giles would have had to spend the time necessary to writing a new spell for Willow.

Imagine how conflicted everything within the Scooby Gang would have been. Buffy would have not known exactly how to feel about Willow being a vampire, especially one like Angel. What do you do when your best friend is the thing you're supposed to be dusting every night? Xander, in my own opinion, probably would have been the most comforting to Willow, short of Oz. Oz quite possibly would have accepted Willow regardless of her newfound vampire status. And Giles and Angel more than likely would taken a mentoring role for Willow, more so in Angel's regard.

I seriously need to write this fanfic...*Scurries off to notebook*

Assuming that she could do it, which I'm not convinced she could.

I'm sorry, I have to turn on the sarcasm a little bit here...Willow do something irresponsible with magick? Never! 😛 😀

Just playing with ya 😉

Again I agree, but Willow does irresponsible things for selfish reasons, so as no one she cares about has died from a mystical death since Buffy then she has had no reason to. Same with vampires, no one she cares about has been made into a vampire so she hasn't bothered trying to work it out.

Who would do it? No one else has the power.

Most likely, anyone with the level of skill that Willow had at the end of Season 2, which was probably not much more than minimal at that time, could have adapted the Gypsies' curse spell that had been used on Angel. Of course, that would contain the "moment of perfect happiness" element, but, if Angel could handle it, Willow could have just as easily. The real skill/power requirement would only be necessary if an entirely new spell would have to be researched, designed, refined, and cast.

(I wonder how the Willow/Tara relationship would have worked out, though, with Vamp Willow knowing in advance about the curse and the consequences)

I'm not entirely sure if that would have work with just adapting it. I mean, the Gypsies' curse for Angelus was specifically written for him, so I don't think merely adapting it would work as well as the Scoobies would hope. I really think the only possible way for any of this to work would be if Giles' wrote a new spell around Willow's soul.

That's just me though.

That might be true. It would depend on just how specific the spell actually is, which, of course, we don't know. Obviously, it isn't all that common a thing to do, or there would have been other vampires cursed with souls, which, apparently, there never were. Still, with Angel's spell as an example, it should be easier to tailor one to fit this situation.

Then again, this is a totally different situation, since it would involve installing the soul of one person (human Willow) into the body of a totally different person (Vamp Willow). Angel's spell is totally different.

Maybe they could somehow get to Pandora and convince a Na'vi shaman to hook Willow and Vamp Willow up to the Tree Of Souls and do the transfer that way.

(If I mentioned Ras Thavis and a brain transfer, would anyone here know who or what I was talking about?)
