If we met Angelus first

Well, hold onto your hat, Miss K, cause I'm about to give you a revelation.

I DO like Angel. He's always out there, trying (often VERY trying) and if he manages to learn from his mistakes, the guy must be a genius by now. But he always does what he believes is right, almost entirely for the simple reason that it IS the right thing to do. If there is a model of the reluctant here, then Angel is just the opposite. He WANTS to be the hero, the champion, the defender of the weak and the helpless. He wants it because it's what he feels he owes them for all of the evil that he did when he was going by the name of Angelus. He's not a glory seeker. He's a redemption seeker, and I hope that he manages to live long enough to achieve it.

See! Completely and utterly freaked out. This is just plain weird. :hanli:

Just have to keep you off balance and wondering what's coming next. It's part of a carefully conceived and diabolically executed long term plan that will be revealed when you least expect it. Just so you can't claim that you weren't warned.

Wow. I honestly don't know how I would have reacted if canon had played out as you described, but considering that Angel is my all-time favorite character of anything ever and Angelus is my favorite villain, I like to think I still would have loved both sides of him if we'd met them in reverse order. Also I kind of want to write it.
