If you could have dinner with anyone from the Whedonverse, living or dead, who would you choose? For the sake of this post the dead people would be alive again (that can happen in the whedonverse). Be clear if it is the character or the actor portraying the character that you'll be dining with.

Is Joss himself allowed as an option?

Well then I'd say Joss, because it's Joss frickin' Whedon and hes one of my heroes!

But if Joss declined or was unavailable, it'd be James for sure. Although to be honest I'd probably just be starstruck and not say anything, or say something embarrassing.

me too. I like Spike, I love James...I'd be a babbling fool and drop food on myself. Well, ok if it was Spike, I'd just be trying to get him into bed, and since only dinner is on the table...
Without a doubt W Earl Brown.. he is amazing. The one person I think I would be like in 'celebrity' awe of.. he's amazing.

That's a pretty good choice.
Amber Benson because she write children's books and makes independent films now.
Tara, because we could actually talk, and maybe I could get magic lessons

Jonathan/Danny Strong. Sweet character. Nice guy. I wouldn't be too bowled over by celebrity worship to actually have normal discussion and enjoy myself.
I think he'd be a dreamy date.

I wouldn't meet any of the actors, that's way too stressful! I don't know them and what if they end up being really awful to dine with, plus I would be too starstruck and wouldn't know what to say.

So I would pick characters. I think I'd get along great with Tara, so for sure I'd hang with her. I think I'd also really like Fred.

Alyson Hannigan of course. She seems so nice and real. Plus she has lots of Hollywood & non Hollywood kinda experiences. I mean she's been acting since she was a toddler, but didn't hit it big till she was in early 20s. She had several brushes with fame before that like My StepMother is an Alien. Then she babysat for Bob Saget's kids when she was in mid/late teens. She even worked for a while in a video store that had some sketchy videos. 😉 Then of course comes Buffy, then American Pie franchise & later How I Met Your Mother. I'd love to talk to her about her long road to fame, her success, people she's met, what she's like, if this is how she imagined it would be when she was younger, etc...

If you are referring to any CHARACTER within the Whedonverse, it would be, without doubt, Faith. I would enjoy having a long over dinner conversation about the many, many advantages of the good ol' American Bowie knife over that silly little fantasy dagger that she seems to favor.

Faith would probably enjoy that :P
Actually, I think I'd like a James Marsters / Nathan Fillion sandwich. But I'd be more than happy for it to be Spike & Mal. I wouldn't like it to be Spike & Caleb though (I doubt Caleb would want dinner with me, with him being a psychotic misogynist and all that...)

What about captain hammer?
Well as I said on another thread I was lucky enough to have dinner with JM already, my next choice would be either ASH (big fan of his) or Whedon. Mainly to ask him what on earth was he thinking when he wrote for the comics. 😀

Oh yes, I'd like to talk with ASH very much as well. Very interesting man and career

Ethan Reigns: Would you accept an offer to become a vengeance demon?
Absolutely. My impression is that D'hoffryn allows and even expects free interpretation and initiative from his employees. I mean, the job description is a bit vague and it's pretty much your decision who you chose to punish and how, as long as you fill your quotas (somewhat like in the traffic police). You can even do palace coups and revolutions.

I'd specialise in wronged kids, fighting child labour/prostitution if that opening is available, and i bet i'd get enourmous satisfaction from my job.

Also, i am vain enough to hope that working from the inside one can reform and optimise this old-fashioned institution.

And think of the perks!
Immortality and interdimensional travel!!!

And I'll also get to bug D'hoffryn with my questions in his opinion what is the true purpose of his enterprise and the nuances between justice and vegenance, about cosmic balance and the difference between ethics and ethos till he runs away screamin' 😀

You make that sound awesome! I kind of want to sign up now too. The only thing I wonder about is the immortality part of the equation, I'm never sure if it is a benefit or a curse. Living forever sounds great except you keep outliving all your friends.

Yes, that's sad 🙁(( but you wont be alone, you'll have us, your vegenance sisters and all the immortal crowd around.

Oh, this is a really hard question.... maybe Alexis Denisof, he just seems like he would be a lot of fun. Though Nathan Fillion probably would be as well.
